Selected Achievements
Spearheaded Internet and networking operations and infrastructure for 460 person organization. Created
short- and long-term strategic vision for technology use; developed IT budget; researched and negotiated
equipment and peripheral purchases; oversaw all computer, software, hardware, telecommunications, audio-
visual and electronic security assets and operations; added to PC lab; introduced tablets and laptops;
automated admission, tuition and financial aid; renovated email system. Results: Organization grew from
small computer lab to campus-wide network of 250+ computer devices; cited twice by auditors for ability to
deeply control infrastructural and systems costs.
Developed/Trained on educational technology curriculum and methods. Identified needs of management

Started up hardware manufacturing company and introduced IT consulting as value-add to metro Atlanta
business community. Hired and trained staff; negotiated and procured OEM components; designed line of
PC products; customized systems to attract major niche markets including midsize and mainframe markets;
developed cable assemblies and peripherals; identified target market; developed relationship with prospects;
sold systems and peripherals; private labelled for companies including Sun Micro Systems, BellSouth.
Results: Grew business to $1+ million in sales annually for first 3 years; shifted emphasis to consulting when
market conditions changed.
Negotiated IT service contract lasting 13 years with large international educational organization (ORT).
Provided network support, technical advice and staff training for 7 private schools in Atlanta; visited other
cities to identify best practices; assisted and advised in acquisition of computers, network infrastructure and
staffing; analyzed software products and negotiated pricing. Results: Fulfilled ORT’s mandate to bring
schools up to speed technologically capable of surpassing other educational facilities; all 7 schools today
have thriving IT departments with educational technology as key component of learning process.
Designed/Built/Directed Computer Technology Resource Center (community learning center for students
and adults). Analyzed site; determined optimal use of space; mapped out infrastructure; negotiated with
vendors for hardware, software, fixtures, furnishings and equipment; managed build-out; supervised use;
maintained equipment. Results: Became state-of-the-art technology hub for SeniorNet, youth camps and
general community use.
