Community Outreach Program in the Southern and Western Regions of the United States. The program requires the effective distribution
of pharmacy cards that can be utilized for discounted prescription drugs, pet medications and laboratory services.
Achievements: The awareness about the MyMaxRx.com Community Outreach Program is growing. I conducted over 70 combined
presentations and online utilization demonstrations for pharmacy card use. Usage of pharmacy cards recently increased by 40%.
**State Consultant, Nevada – I provided managed program and consultation services per the grant funded Alliance for Retired
Americans (ARA) State Grant Consultants’ Program in Nevada. In lieu of an Executive Director for the ARA statewide affiliate in
Nevada, I worked directly with the Nevada Alliance for Retired Americans (NARA) Board of Directors and ARA Senior Executives. I
oversaw organizational plans for success, fundraising, membership development, recruitment and retention. I encouraged the increase of
participation in civic engagement at the local, state and national levels. I conducted and led presentations related to Medicare, Medicaid,
Social Security and better health at special events, in community and senior centers all across Nevada.
Achievements: For the first time in Nevada’s history, this specific one year grant funding provided by the Alliance for Retired
Americans (ARA) State Grant Consultants’ Program was initially awarded then renewed. In 2009, I managed the 50% increase in ARA
Community Action Network (CAN) membership and successfully helped NARA increase combined monetary donations and donations
in kind to value over $60,000. Consultation functions included service assistance for a widely attended NARA Convention in Reno,
Nevada and increased involvement in the Medicare State Health Insurance Program (SHIP). In 2010, I initiated support for a free
opening day event plus a free Nevada Day community lunch during the 2010 Alliance for Retired Americans National Convention held
in Las Vegas, Nevada. Successful results encouraged a 2012 Alliance for Retired Americans Western Regional Convention held in Las
Vegas, Nevada and an Alliance for Retired Americans National Convention to be held in April, 2014.
**Lead Organizer, Nevada – I recruited, hired, trained, managed staff, and volunteers for the 2008 Power 2 Change Campaign, a
national clean energy future project and community outreach program; the campaign was sponsored by the Sierra Club in conjunction
with Grassroots Solutions. I developed, coordinated and implemented effective door to door marketing, special event participation and
social media coverage promoting awareness. I developed and presented class presentations working closely with the Community
Colleges and Universities in Nevada. I provided mentorship for junior staff and process improvements for the campaign. I organized
and conducted campaign presentations at various locations throughout Nevada. I promoted the usage of energy efficient light bulbs and
