Generating purchase orders as and when inventory levels reach reorder levels. Efficiently managing the
inventory levels on all receipt and on the basis of ABC & XYZ analysis for ensuring ready availability of material
to meet production and dispatch targets.
Sourcing / Procurement: Handling sourcing through identification of cost effective suppliers for
procurement with an aim of improving quality & reliability. Budgeting funds for procurement and sourcing of
materials ensuring optimum utilization of materials & maximum cost savings. Developing sufficient number of
reliable and reputed sources of supply for different items required. Negotiating with the suppliers after analyzing
the quotations duly giving a fair and equal opportunity to all the participants. Releasing Purchase Orders and
follow up till the material is actually delivered as per the schedule. Updating the Stock Registers after issuing the
materials.
Stores Management: overseeing the store management and maintaining reduced inventory levels.
Maintaining the stock of material without any variance by conducting perpetual stock verification and
documentation. Implementing Standard Operating Procedures within the warehouse and training team members
in maintaining compliance with these procedures. Ensuring quality packaging to prevent goods from getting
damaged in transit. Giving unique product’s identification are, & codifying with tags for proper traceability.
Undertaking special care for Shelf Life Items. All activities of Stores Management ensuring the all HSE norms as
per ISO 9000, 14001.
Vendor Management: Steering strategic sourcing through identification of cost effective
vendors/suppliers for procurement with an aim of reducing cost while improving quality & reliability. Carrying out
vendor localization/ indigenization for curtailing costs of materials as well as negotiating the terms of credit with
vendors as well as the cost of material required. Conducting supplier qualification audits and implementing
supplier approval process that will lead to consistent and reliable vendor base.
Receipt operations: Managing the receipt of materials r eceipts of materials against Delivery challans
or Invoices or through Carriers. Placing of Inspection memos for the materials received. Conducting quality &
quantity inspection of materials with technical counter part, for ensuring that purchased product meets specified
purchase requirements. Preparing Receipts Orders, Departmental Stock Reports etc., for suitable materials
Entering of LR/RR details after receipt of documents from Bank . Arranging Freight Pay Orders. Handling
Arranging of Clearance of consignments from the Transport Carriers.
Issue operation: Issue of the materials as per requisition of site engineers/sub contractors, duly
approved by authorised persons. Update the Stock Registers after issuing the materials. Close monitoring for
online entry of data in system.
Scrap Disposal: Disposal of scrap done as per management decision with the help of e auction.

To Liaise with the Purchase & Planning and prepare a detailed stores layout plan which should be in line with the
Annual Procurement Plan
