Produce the software certification data package for the 737 Flight Management Computer Systems.
Perform all necessary reviews, and verification of the 737 FMS Software throughout the software life cycle to assure
compliance to DO-178B/C Level B objectives.
Develop supporting robustness and/or boundary software requirements to supplement existing baseline design.
Develop test specifications, plans, and procedures for DO-178B/C Level B coverage of the 737 FMS Software.
IEC Electronics
Systems Engineer/Analyst October 2012– March 2013
Review customer requirements and create low level requirements for preparation and design of acceptance testing
In this position, I have had the opportunity to fill a critical need for the company, reviewing, and defining low level

Aspen Avionics, Albuquerque, New Mexico
DO-178B Software Certification Project Leader March 2011– August 2012
Technical program leadership and liaison between management and engineering teams
As a DO-178B Software Project leader, I am responsible for assuring that Aspen Avionics software development processes for
the EFD1000 and its associated subsystems are commensurate with the rigor required for the level of software being
developed per DO-178B and Order 8110.49. This involves a thorough understanding of the Systems and Software lifecycles
from planning to requirements development, design and integration to formal test, FAA conformity, and release. In order to
achieve FAA conformity, I work closely with local and contracted DER personnel during the review and eventual
completion/release of several formal documents/activities. These documents and activities include Software Design, Software
Source Code Development and finalization, Hardware/Software integration, Software Test development and formal execution,
Software Conformity review, Software Release, and finally, a Software accomplishment summary (SAS), which proves
compliance to our original plans for Software Aspects of Certification (PSAC). To date, I have managed five major EFD1000
software updates through the full lifecycles and FAA conformity/release. These include major improvements to the EFD1000
such as Synthetic Vision, the new state of the art Connected Panel System, and a fully integrated Autopilot system. All of these
functions are now certified and utilized by our customer’s with high reports of success.
General Electric, Albuquerque, New Mexico
Project / Systems Engineer September 2006– February 2011
Technical program leadership and liaison between management and engineering teams
The position of Project Engineer offers a unique view into all engineering and operations functions required for successful
system implementation, production and delivery. This has engrained a broad understanding of systems from all aspects of
engineering disciplines and has contributed to a well-rounded and multi-dimensional systems engineering experience. As the
sole technical lead and point of contact for programs from inception to completion, the project engineer is responsible for
initial requirements assessment and customer negotiation, followed by allocation and dispersement to engineering teams;
Creating full system hardware interface definitions (ICD) to meet customer specifications; and coordinating with all levels of
engineering disciplines throughout project phases, which include electrical and mechanical system design and layout,
manufacturing and assembly, and software/hardware integration and test.
