Secondary Composite aircraft structures.
Position: Quality Director
Reporting directly to the General Manager my primary responsibilities involved
ensuring the overall effectiveness of the Quality Systems, which includes the
Quality Policy, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Material
Review Board (MRB), Non Destructive Testing (NDI), Quality Audit, Supplier
Quality, and all aspects of product on-load and off-load. I was also responsible for
the effective implementation of Boeing’s Export Administration Regulations
(EAR), and International Trade in Arms Regulations (ITAR), as well as being the
primary contact for Transport Canada and the FAA.
Additional responsibilities:
5 years Divisional Ethics advisor (reporting directly to Boeing Ethics Seattle)
Investigating and adjudicating reported ethics violations, including data gathering and
Analysis reports.
6 years Management Co-chair of the Joint Health and Safety Council

Position: Quality Director 1992 – 1996
Reporting directly to the General Manager, I was responsible for the effective and
continued improvement of the overall quality system. This includes the Quality
Policy, Quality Control including special processes (Shot peen and Electroplating),
Quality Assurance, Material Review Board (MRB) Non Destructive Inspection
(NDI), Quality Audit, Supplier Quality, Materials testing review and approval,
Supplier manufacturing plan review and approval, Customer Contract review,
Quality member of the Engineering Change Control Board, Engineering review, as
well as the primary contact for Transport Canada and the FAA.
Note: During my tenure as Director of Quality, Menasco Aerospace received
Boeing’s prestigious “Presidents Award” 3 times in 4 years.
Position: Quality Assurance Manager 1989 – 1992
Primary responsibilities included the day-to-day management and support of a
team of nine quality specialists covering Quality Planning, Material Review Board,
Materials Testing, Procurement Quality, and Supplier Manufacturing Planning
Approval.
Position: Quality Assurance Specialist 1986 – 1989
Responsibilities included the review and approval of MRB tags, for both accuracy
and completeness, to review and approve corrective action proposals, to follow up
corrective actions results to ensure effectiveness, and to compile a Senior

Management report on the effectiveness of the MRB system and process.

Toolmaker to trade. 7 years with Timex Corp fabricating Jigs, Fixtures and Multi
Stage progression tools for the manufacture of watch components.
2 years Marine Engineering Officer British Merchant Navy.
4 years Contract Supplier Quality rep, working with Anglo American Corp, Bechtel
Corp and Michael Brett and Partners - Corrosion Consultants, on Various Mining
Projects, assuring Mechanical, Electrical and Structural components met engineering
requirements before shipment to site.
