Regionally responsible for (25) Retail Stores leading Store Managers, Service Operations Managers,
Department Managers and Store Leads in Employee Matters, Hiring, and Performance. Represents
over 3500 union and non-union employees with employee relations and hiring while developing these
teams through motivation and engagement by utilizing listening skills, surveys, action plans,
performance improvement plans, and satisfaction measures.
• Implemented training plans and certification process for all employees to improve employee
engagement and retention. Achieved an internal development success rate in excess of 75% and increased
employee engagement by 25%.
• Identified and led the development of High Performing Team Members each year for Succession
Planning to improve bench strength. Promoted over 120 employees in 2014 as a result of this process.

Responsible for managing a high volume, unionized store including 17 Managers and 175 employees.

• Successfully implemented a complete store remodel of 90,000 sq. ft. facility in Milwaukee while
managing on-going daily operations.
• Initiated a culture change by leading through example, coaching, creating performance expectations

Store Manager
Provide executive leadership for 230 to 300 associates through various departments and stores turning
one under-performing store into the 2nd most profitable store in the market.
• Managed an operations budget of up to $100M focusing on sales, turns and inventory
• Opened store from ground up, including hiring and training 150 new employees, supervising store
set-up and ensuring proper ordering and merchandising of product to meet Grand Opening standards.
• Established controls and procedures, reducing shrink from over 2% to under 1%.
• Established hiring practices, talking with all potential new hires to set expectations for customer
service and job performance. Resulted in better hires, improved employee retention and improved customer
service.
• Executed merchandizing plans to achieve comp sales in 20 year old location through training DM
financials, proper ordering procedures, and better customer service. Resulted in maximum bonus for all
employees.
• Enhanced customer service ratings by directly advocating daily measurements and training staff.
• Determined sales projections and interacted with Buyer to secure and recommend precuts
resulting in better in-stock, products tailored to the customer, and less overstock in the backroom.
• Exceeded all safety and accident reduction goals eliminating “high shrink” company
classification.
• Controlled $4M in inventory while reaching and implementing an inventory management systems
to streamline processes.
• Chosen as Manager in the District to teach and implement a new cash office procedure which
resulted in adjusting schedules as well as re-training front ends in the 11 stores in the area. Worked directly
with cash office employees and assisted in the transition to become more efficient.
• Began “Shop with a Cop” at the Kenosha facility to give back to the community. Coordinated
efforts with local police department and employees.
• Store recognized for its efforts in raising money for Children’s Miracle Network.
• Determined sales projections, analyzed sales trends and interacted directly with buyers to secure
product resulting in improved sales performance.
