SHAWCOR – Contract Position 2012 – 2015

SharePoint Program Manager

Initiated and managed the global implementation of SharePoint and established a governance plan to

support the continued growth of the platform and to ensure the activities of the program aligned with the

business needs.

Assumed role of Project Manager on multiple concurrent projects while managing the overall program

portfolio which included Corporate Intranet, Collaboration, Extranet, Business Solutions and Reporting.

Responsible for building and managing a team of internal and external resources and vendor

relationships that supported the end-to-end delivery of key programs and projects.

Lead the migration of content databases and global business solutions from IBM Notes to SharePoint;

Reduced Notes footprint significantly through the movement of e-mail to 0365, content migration and

global application consolidation.

Worked closely with Global IT Managers to manage the network, help desk and administration of user

access through Active Directory and coordinated activities and resolved issues that spanned areas of

responsibility.

Evaluated SharePoint 2013 cloud and on premise hosting options to create a plan for migration from

SharePoint 2010 to a Hybrid SharePoint environment and initiated movement of some workloads from

SharePoint 2010 to Office365.

Created a plan for the global rollout of OneDrive for Business and coordinated global training efforts for

0365 training to educate end users on the productivity benefits of the 0365 toolset.

Represented Information Technology as a member of the Knowledge Management core team

responsible for the development of a strategy to align with the innovation targets of the business. Lead

investigation into technology options to compliment the people and process elements of KM, including

investigation into the benefits of social collaboration tools and a Yammer pilot to support the newly

formed Communities of Practice.

ONTARIO POWER AUTHORITY – Contract Position 2011 – 2012

Enterprise Content Management Program Manager

Collaborated with Business Leaders and Technology experts to define an ECM vision and identify and

prioritize SharePoint implementation activities based on business benefit and alignment with strategic

goals.

Worked with a SharePoint solutions vendor to manage and implement several business solutions

including a new Corporate Intranet, a Project Collaboration Site Service and a SharePoint composite

solution to provide a secure collaborative document workspace and approval process for a major OPA

initiative.

Created a SharePoint Governance Plan which included the development of roles and responsibilities,

policies and necessary processes to deploy and sustain an effective ECM solution.

Led project initiation activities for an Enterprise Contract Lifecycle Management solution. Facilitated

information gathering workshops to define the current business process, identify impact areas and

develop the business case in support of a solution.

Worked with key stakeholders from the OPA Board of Directors to collect requirements and evaluate

and recommend a solution for an Electronic Board Binder. Successfully piloted an iPad solution which

was later adopted by all board members.

SUNCOR ENERGY 1991 – 2010

FUNCTIONAL LEAD MERGER INTEGRATION 2009 –

2010

Selected as a member of the Marketing and Distribution Merger Integration team utilizing extensive

business process and technology expertise. Collaborated and developed a strategic approach to

implement over $30 million in business synergies impacting the Marketing, Supply and Distribution

functions.

Planned a phased migration of sales processes to a single platform by successfully mitigating

operational risk to other integrated business functions. Led cross-functional Business Unit workshops

and identified, prioritized and resolved integration gaps.

Evaluated and designed end-state processes representing both the United States and Canadian

operations through ongoing collaboration with internal subject matter experts and external consultants.

2007

1997-1998
