• Embedded in Celanese Corporation, as an MEI employee with full project execution responsibility, I completed 13
EPC projects (~$7 million) – new bag palletizing line, process equipment upgrades, cooling tower and sand filter
replacements, heat exchanger re-tubing, pipeline replacements, reactor shell welding repairs, absorption tower
internals & packing upgrades and steam separator internals.
• Successfully executed projects within tight Unit Turnaround and Equipment Outage schedules.
• Defined project scope, completed full project and design estimates, submitted appropriation requests and
justification, determined payback, reviewed design documents, requested bids from contractors, purchased
engineered equipment, approved fab release prints, negotiated contracts, monitored project budgets & schedules,
observed daily construction and field safety, did project checkout and turnover to Operations, project final
documentation and close-out.

• Completed 8 projects as an off-site project design manager for the Valero and Flint Hills refineries -. flare system
replacements, crude oil & butane pipeline modifications and safety upgrades for ~25 relief valve systems involving
process, piping, structural, electrical, & controls design disciplines.
