Robotics Programmer Sea Ray Boats – Knoxville, TN (2002-Present)

• Responsible for programming 2 ABB 6650 long arm robots with IRC5 Controllers to

drill holes in hulls and decks for hardware installation. To ensure accuracy I use a

complex search routine along with a spindle mounted distance measuring laser to build

frames and shift cut outs accordingly.

• Due to part flexibility, I am also responsible for the design and fabrication of universal

positioners for parts to maintain a desired location inside robot cell.

• Use Robot Studio to perform offline programming.

• Successfully completed ABB’s Beginner, Advanced, and Expert Programmer classes as

well as Robot Studio.

• Served as Lamination trainer upon the opening of our Joineville, Brazil plant. My

training responsibilities included all areas of the lamination process for decks, hulls,

small parts, and the RTM process as well.

• Prior to being awarded with the Robotics Programmer position in 2012, I served as

Lamination Eng. Tech., Laboratory Tech., and RTM Crew Leader as well.

• Company recommended promotion to lead man position due to good relationship with

co-workers, good work ethic, and outstanding leadership skills.

• Worked in partnership with engineering staff on a new contract project to serve the

custom axle needs for Kenworth and Peterbilt.

• Responsible for quality assurance of my work using a robotic arm and end of arm laser

that was placed on several points of each custom axle produced to ensure accuracy.

Machinist Mate UNITED STATES NAVY – U.S.S. Shenandoah, AD-44 (1993 – 1996)

• Achieved responsibility as number one investigator for my duty section’s fire team.

• Overhauled centrifugal pumps using tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators,

and etc. to ensure all tolerances were acceptable.

• Made pump to motor alignments using dial indicators as well as lasers to maintain

required 0.003” tolerance.

• Earned Battle E, National Defense, and Marksman awards.

• One of three nominees out of approximately two hundred MMFN’s for Sailor of the

month.
