With my exceptional record, I will perform the duties of Safety Manager and or Safety site compliance. I provide an
extensive 30+year career combining Medical Facility Safety, Fire Protection Service, Safety Management, JCAHO
compliance, USACE compliance and Life Safety Code Compliance. This period included Management experience
within both career fields within the Federal Government on projects ranging from $1.5 million to $50 million in value.
I have served as either, Safety Director, Regional Safety Manager or Fire Chief at several major Army and Dept. of
Transportation facilities. Furthermore I served as the Safety Manager Bethesda Naval Hospital; As Safety Director for
the Dept of the Army and Regional Safety Manager for the Dept. of Interior; and as the Regional Safety Manager for
the Army Core Of Engineers has afforded me extensive compliance over sight and extensive training and knowledge
within both the Fire Service and Life Safety Code and Environmental arena across DOD.
I’m also acknowledged for my accomplishments. I possess National Certifications in Safety/OSHA compliance
Management and within the Fire Protection Service and inspection enforcement of building construction compliance
for multiple sites, providing expert knowledge and background to perform in-depth code compliance in the areas of
fire/life safety and OSHA compliance for general construction, industrial, laboratory/medical facilities and marine
applications and Naval Functions. As the Regional Safety Manager for the Western Region of the U.S. Geological
Survey, I was awarded the 2007 Star Award USGS for developing and implementing a Medical Surveillance Program.
Other regions adopted this program as a best practice after it significantly reduced the workers compensation claims
for both government and contract workers due to a reduction in on site injury as well as exposure to radiation, mercury
and other contaminants. While at both the Bethesda Naval Hospital and the Western USGS Region, I ensured
compliance with organizations such as the USACE and regulating authorities such as the Joint Commission on
Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. My vast safety experience across numerous functional areas will ensure
