Coordinating the creation of a book detailing the history of Apollo, PA. Aspects of this include researching
historical records, participating in committee meetings, organizing and editing sources, working with
publishers, and ultimately creating a history book to be sold during the upcoming bicentennial celebration.

Created and served high quality dishes and multiple course meals in a fast paced environment as a cook. My
duties included cooking, preparing food, cleaning kitchen surfaces, washing dishes, assisting waitresses and

Amizade Global Service Learning Navajo Nation
Service Learning Volunteer May – June 2013
Investigated and learned about Navajo culture as the primary objective of my time as a service learning
volunteer. Secondary objectives included constructing a house, outhouses, horse corrals, sheep herding and
sheering, and reservation cleanup and recycling.
