U.S. Citizen, qualified Mechanical Engineer, licensed Professional Engineer (PE), certified Project Management Professional (PMP) as well as OSHA certified in construction.

20+ years of Project Development/Engineering, Construction & Commissioning/ Project execution experience on Coal fired & Combined cycle Power plants, Gas processing/ LNG facilities, Water/Waste Water Treatment, as well as HVDC/T&D projects, globally, including Americas, GCC, S-E Asia region.

Project Engineering Manager

Managed internal and external engineering on 225MW Combined cycle project to be constructed in Myanmar. Acted as single point contact for resolving all technical issues during project execution and mitigating technical risks, including Construction related technical risks with all parties.

Provided techno-commercial leadership on EPC implementation of Wang-Noi 4 - 2X1-800 MW combined cycle project & gas processing complex with a capital budget of US$500m.

Managed internal and external engineering work, third party consultants and resolved technical issues.

Monitored sub-contractors’ progress at site for timely execution of the project through daily/weekly/monthly meetings. Ensured timely resolution of technical/logistic issues, bottlenecks and scheduling conflicts.

Managed QA/QC aspects during Engineering & Construction phase by developing and monitoring ITP (Inspection & Test Plan) and enforced strict compliance by all parties including suppliers/sub-contractors.

Oversaw Engineering and Construction activities on $1B upgrade on existing coal fired Power plants at Hudson (660 MW) and Mercer (753 MW), for adding Back End Technology (BET) Equipment like SCR, FGD (Flue Gas Desulfurizer) equipment, Activated Carbon injection & Bag-house filtration.

Directed Front End Engineering and proposal development including feasibility studies/cost estimating/ permitting effort, to support the Repowering program, by systematically retiring, old environmentally inefficient power generation units and replacing with new efficient units having latest technology.

Provided leadership to conduct combustible coal audit of coal fired steam generation units, under OSHA National Emphasis Program and ensured timely implementation of the action items.

Managed Brownfield projects up to $50M over North America for customers like Calpine, GDF Suez for upgrading the performance as well as ability to operate at low loads with emission compliance.

Achieved ‘Project of the Year’ award in 2007 at Calpine, Delta Energy Center, for timely implementation of a major modification/upgrade project on gas turbines SGT6-5000F units, during a critical outage and achieving Output/Heat Rate numbers higher than guaranteed.

Project Engineering Manager

Managed execution of 600 MW HVDC transmission link Neptune project between New Jersey and Long Island, New York, as site based Resident Project Engineering Manager. Provided Residential project leadership, including interfacing with clients, directing work of support teams, third party Consultants and Contractors.

On assigned projects, chaired design review sessions for internal/external engineering groups to make sure design meets customer specifications, local codes as well as international codes, as applicable and approved quality gates on the engineering deliverables ensuring inter-disciplinary reviews.
