Course Projects:

QFD, Benchmarking of Interior Package: Implemented the QFD technique to relate the customer needs for a

driver’s seat and steering wheel to relevant package dimensions. Benchmarked the driver’s seat and steering

wheel of the Ford Fusion with two other competition vehicles. Wrote a detailed report explaining customer needs

and comparing the functional specifications of all three vehicles.

Vehicle Package Evaluation: Analyzed and evaluated the cargo of the Ford Escape by applying evaluation

techniques like Importance Rating and Thrustone’s Method. Conducted task analysis for different trunk operations

and suggested improvements for the trunk by studying the customer life cycle.

Occupant Package Design: Applied SAE practices to determine the interior and exterior package dimensions of

amid-size sedan concept car which would compete with current cars such as Ford Fusion, Honda Accordand

Volkswagen Passat.

Vehicle System Analysis-Requirements, Interfaces and Trade-Off’s: Conducted a detailed study of the

Braking System; understanding its systems, sub-systems and components. Developed an interface diagram and

interface matrix to understand the interface between its components and other vehicle systems.Cascaded

important engineering design requirements of the entire system and sub-system with respect to the vehicle

attributes and sub-attributes.Described major trade-offsneeded to be considered in designing the Braking System.

Business Plan Development: Proposed a business plan for 2020 Honda Accord detailing the timing plan.

Estimated selling price and sales projections, calculated costs and revenues for the vehicle program and

explained major risks to the vehicle program.
