Profile

I have extensive experience in education, management and training. Having recently

moved back to the U.S and being bilingual in English, Farsi and Dari, I am interested in

pursuing a career in translation and interpretation.

ACTING PRINCIPAL/ EDUCATOR, MEHR E TABAN BILINGUAL SCHOOL; SHIRAZ, IRAN - 2011-2014

In addition to the daily overview and management of the English Department, my

responsibilities included curriculum design and implementation together with teacher

assessments and training.

As the Head of the Department I affected the syllabus and course of study related to

Middle and High School levels. I reviewed and implemented tests and final exams. I

assessed teacher performance and training.

YOGA TEACHER, FREELANCE; SHIRAZ, IRAN 1997-2015

Trained in the Sivananda school, I conducted private and group classes in Ashtanga Yoga.

I led classes in the exploration of the Bhagavad Gita to better appreciate the yogic

scriptures. I conducted teacher’s training courses and executed final exams for the Yoga

Institute of the Country. Facilitated and helped organize the Shiraz International

Meditation Seminar in 2006. Published and narrated a completed Hatha Yoga video

filmed in Shiraz.

STORE AND AREA MANAGER, THE BODY SHOP; ORANGE COUNTY, CA - 1990-1993

Acting as the South Coast Plaza shop manager in New Port Beach, the shop achieved

record American sales in 1991/92. Acting as the Area Manager for shops in the County, I

supervised shop orders, merchandising, sales, and employee scheduling and training.
