Dear Hiring Manager, Aecon.
I am contacting you after having come across your website and as a follow up to a discussion I had with a former co-
worker and colleague at Bell Canada.
He made me aware of the fact Aecon are actively involved with Bell as a vendor in the installation and deployment of
Telecom services throughout the province and are growing their business impressively through the area.
Much of my career at Bell was involved in the installation and repair of core data and network infrastructure with Bell,
including Fibre and IP services, and I am very familiar with the many aspects and demands required in deploying and
maintaining all Telecommunications services, internally and to the customer. My crews were primarily responsible for
business or corporate customers, and we were very much involved with providing service on the Central Office and
consumer (residential) side of the business as well.
The early and later stages of my career included providing tech support for Air Canada and IBM customer services and
systems as well as consulting, implementation and project support for many of their most important customers.
I would bring to Aecon a broad range of skills, including:
• Leadership and Communications skills honed by many years in a variety of Operations Centres and Locations.
• Technical knowledge of many Telecommunications offerings and standards.
• Innovative thinking and Resourcefulness; i.e. ‘getting the job done’, in the face of many influences and
challenges.
• E nthusiasm and determination in doing the job right and challenging those around to do the same. (I have
captained and coached competitive baseball teams in the community and nationally.)
Yours very sincerely,
Carlos Paixao
