Heading the Finance & Accounts Department of this USD 2.60 Billion Company,

engaged in Trading, Manufacture & Sale of Petroleum Products in the GCC,

UAE, Europe and South Asian & African Regions. Company is establishing LPG

Storage & Bottling Plant, Oil Storage & Handling Terminals, Bunkering,

Refineries and Bio-Diesel units, Steel Plant, LNG Re-gasification Plant,

etc. in Fujairah (UAE), Riyadh (KSA), Tanzania (Africa), Klang Port

(Malaysia) & Pipavav Port (Gujarat, India), Jabalpur (India) and Karaikal

Mobilized funding of around Indian Rs 7,000 Mn. for various corporate

clients in diverse sectors such as pharmaceutical, telecom, auto component,

real estate, interior decorator, and renewable energy; from various Banks,

LFIs, FIIs, and PEs etc.

ADVANCE INDIA PROJECTS LIMITED, NEW DELHI (GM-Finance: Feb 2006-Sep 2006)

Had mobilized Project Finance for state-of-the-art Office Complex (Gurgaon)

and a Shopping Mall-cum-Multiplex (Amritsar). Was engaged in securing lines

of credit for other upcoming residential and commercial projects from

Banks/FIs/ECBs. Handled all financial matters including preparation of

documents, interactions, seeking approvals from government/ statutory

bodies, dealings with all banks/financial institutions / real estate mutual

funds, legal documentation, cash flows, policy matters etc. Helped in

streamlining the company's cash flows and accounting systems.

In addition to the finance role, actively assisted the MD in decision-

making in several key areas including streamlining of company's credit

exposure, accounting systems, insurance, optimal deployment of work-force,

and improving the company's annual turnover to over IRs 700 Mn. Recovery of

bad debts from customers aggregating to IRs 5 Mn, many over six years old.

Responsible for the overall supervision of a pan-India operation comprising

14 clinics run as independent profit centres. Introduced an incentive

scheme that helped increase monthly turnover by 20-40%. Designed and

implemented standard operational procedures for rotation of staff amongst

the offices to improve overall staff and resource efficiency and

utilization. Streamlined processes relating to monitoring branch

performance, auditing of accounts, maintaining inventory levels of beauty

Other assignments completed at Bank's Central, Head, and Zonal offices

and 2 Main Branches where I effectively handled several issues like

- Worked in 'C&I (Commercial & Institutional) Projects Department'

comprising of 64 officers and was also responsible for its automation

including equipment and software evaluation and selection ("BankMaster"),

Power" software packages that enabled SBI to introduce a remarkably well-

configured front office posting software to work in conjunction with

BankMaster, the main banking application package.

- Drew up rehabilitation plans for several sick SSI units dealing in

electronics, metal works and pharmaceuticals at 'Technical Consultancy

Cell'.

- At the 'Project Finance Strategic Business Unit' (PFSBU) under Corporate

Accounts Group, handled funding of infrastructure and core sector

projects throughout the country in diverse areas and steered the funding

proposals for several large projects including Durg Bypass Project,

GCPTCL Dahej, etc. PFSBU is a financial supermarket offering expert user

friendly services in all areas including Working Capital, Term Loan/ FCL,

. During my tenure, GK-1 Branch was rated by Delhi Circle as a model

branch for excellent customer services, catering to a very

sophisticated and sensitive clientele. I was instrumental in fully

computerizing it in record time and the branch subsequently received

the Chairman's Trophy for overall outstanding performance

. I had laid down the strictest benchmark norms for "Hardware Acceptance

Testing" by the Bank, under the overall supervision of IIT, Bombay
