database development, application / user support, supervise contract
personnel, report writing, QA testing, and training.
Database Development:
. Experience with Rave electronic database collection (EDC). Responsible
for database development, validation checks, issue resolution and
migration of data when required. Used XML when transferring data to
validation data accuracy
. To date set up 100+ high quality Clintrial 3.3 & Clintrial 4.3 database
systems for the Clinical Data Management group gaining recognition as a
Subject Matter expert and highly sought after developer for new database
development. Load outsourced data, create coding dictionaries,
investigate and resolve issues that arise both during design and after
database release.
. Train new employees on Database Setup and responsible for documentation
for Group's work instructions. Supervise contract personnel prioritizing
tasks, assignments projects and monitoring progress.
. Program edit checks using SQL as part of the Clintrial 4.3 database setup
resulting in automated generation of discrepancies
. Create SQL scripts to automate database setup, distribution and lock
process allowing databases to move into production 1-2 days ahead of
schedule
Report Writing:
. Programmed Oracle Reports and SAS Patient Listings used in FDA submission
for new drug development
. Programmed Oracle Reports used by Medical Safety to provide quick and
accurate responses to regulatory agencies, and review ongoing and locked
studies.
Project Management:
. Managed the implementation of an in-house generated Oracle Application
titled Integrated Adverse Events (IAE). Managed continuous upgrades of
the IAE application for the past 14 years.
. Conduct weekly conference call with vendor, contractors, IT
representative and others to coordinate efforts and provide accurate
clinical protocols while meeting strict timelines.
QA Testing:
. Create, test, and review test plans, test cases, and test scripts for
databases to ensure high quality and efficient Clintrial systems
. Create load scripts for the IAE data warehouse combining data from
individual protocols to allow generation of reports incorporating many
studies
User Support:
. Provide application support to approximately 500 global users
. Excellent rapport with team members, contract personnel and colleagues in
other departments.
