Limited, INDIA.

Experience in managing mechanical piping projects and related works including pipe

fabrication, erection and testing.

Experience of piping, facilities and interconnection piping be tween each phase of

projects and assist in integrated project development activities .

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION:

Bachelor of Technology (B-Tech) degree in Mechanical Engineering from MAHATMA

GANDHI University, Kerala, INDIA in 2009.

WORK EXPERIENCE: (TOTAL 5.6 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE)

Piping Engineer from Oct 2009 till April 2015 in Cochin Shipyard Limited INDIA under

Contracting Company.

SHIP BUILDLING PROJECTS HANDLED:-

Platform Supply Vessels. (Total 10 PSVs in UT755LN series & UT755CD Series)

Anchor Handling Vessel. (UT755LN Series)

This includes fabrication, erection and testing of CS, SS, GI, blucher, precision steel

and copper pipes in various systems like high pressure hydraulic, compressed air,

sanitary discharge, fuel oil, lube oil, exhaust, Tank vent, fire & foam systems etc.

Air Defense Ship for Indian Navy (INS VIKRANT 2013)

This includes fabrication, erection and testing of Cu-Ni and GI pipes in various

systems like Tank vent, seawater systems etc and fabrication of outfitting equipment

foundation.

Key Responsibilities: -

Understanding Project Specifications and Scope of work, to ensure all related

documents and drawings are available to start the job.

Attend Kick off meeting with management and obtain clarity and final agreement on

the scope of work.

Preparing MR for piping materials, weight calculation for lifting and shipping

purpose.

Manpower allocation, Site supervision, facilitating work permits, looking after all site

activities of fabrication, material issuance from warehouse according to drawings

etc.

Ensuring the safety rules are followed and proper use of PPE and tools.

Prepares the PR, including the Bill of Materials; specifications; datasheets/drawings;

inspection test requirements; and vendor data requirements for review .

Ensuring work is done in accordance to Project Manuals and drafted drawings .

Conducting dimension inspections as per drawings and welding joint inspections.

Co-ordinate with project management team on day to day work progress and

worksite clash management.

Preparing weekly and monthly Progress Report.

Preparing test packs and conducting various tests like Air pressure Test and Hydro

test as per boundary markup drawings.

Preparations for commissioning and startup including piping system integrity check,

blank removal, oil flushing etc.

SHIP REPAIR PROJECTS HANDLED:-

INS Sutlej of Indian Navy. (Hull Repair Work)

This includes plate removal of the corroded hull structure, plate fabrication & fit up

and pressure testing if required.

INS Varuna of Indian Navy. (Pipe Repair Work)

INS Viraat of Indian Navy. (Pipe Repair Work)

DCI Dredge Aquarius. (Pipe Repair Work)

This includes choke clearing, removal of corroded pipes as per scope of work,

fabrication, refit and testing of the new GI and CS pipes in various systems like

Sanitary & Sewage, Fresh Water system etc.
