Principal Mechanical Engineer
Responsible for mechanical and electro-mechanical design and integration of new Rack Mounting Products for
Telecommunications and Marine. Spearheaded and managed projects inclusive of resource allocation and schedules.
Provided design engineering support for mechanical issues concerning existing and new product to manufacturing
engineers at plants. Mentored and supervised members of mechanical team. Responsible for complete project
documentation in Agile PDM System.
Worked with sales and marketing to develop new rack-mounted telecommunications products, including
Multiplexer, Fan Tray accessory. Consolidated, improved manufacturability, cost reduced existing products
from acquired telecommunications companies.
Performed electo-mechanical packaging of InCharger from concept to production for industrial
applications. This is the first industrial battery charger with cool touch case and touch screen controls in a
graphic display. Design effort made extensive use of DFM principles, resulting in a finished product that is
easy to assemble and is designed to meet UL1236.
Responsible for mechanical design of Power Master3 50 and PM3 100 power conditioning, and regulation
units used in the marine yachting industry. Both products are designed with touch panel VFD display and
keyboard overlays, and met their cost targets.
Designed mechanical packaging of Iso-Boost Isolation Transformers (50 and 100 Amps), and AC
Master Control, a product line of Isolation Transformers (3.6, 12, and 24 KVA) for Marine Industry.
Products were designed to meet ABYC standards by using sheet metal and deep drawn parts.

Digital Appliance Control, Inc., Elgin, IL, (Contract Assignment) (January1994 - March 1995)
A Subsidiary of Emerson Electric specializing in appliance control panel design manufacture.
Mechanical Design Engineer: Designed appliance control panels (e.g., microwave, dishwasher, washer and
dryer) for major appliance manufacturers. Responsible for creating layouts of electro -mechanical packaging that
included sheet metal and injection molded parts; created assembly drawings using, AutoCAD, Release 12.
Nuclear Data Systems, Itasca, IL (Aug 1990 - Dec 1993)
A division of Canberra Industries specializing in the design, manufacturer of products for the medical industry.
Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer
Created new designs that resulted in significant product performance, cost reduction, improvements, and providing
the company a clear edge over competitors. Supervised production and worked with outside vendors and consultants
to meet OEM customer requirements (including GE Medical Systems, Siemens, Picker International, Fischer
Imaging and Sopha Medical). Designed components to facilitate retrofitting, and installing hard video cameras in
several OEM products.
Re-evaluated existing products and developed comprehensive plan to introduce new look, and functions of
new generations of products per marketing request. Responsible for designing new hard copy video and
digital cameras for medical imaging.
Designed Image View 4600 Compact Multi Format Camera, which provides pictures on 8” x 10” film to
meet UL-544 used for Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Computerized Tomography, and Mammography.
Developed mechanical packaging of Image View 5000 Mixed Format Video/Digital Imaging system on 8”
X 10” film from concept to manufacturing to meet UL-544 specifications.

Mechanical Design Engineer
Responsible for the design of multi format hard copy video cameras, that provide information on X -ray film, from
concept to finished product. Interfaced with manufacturing and quality control department to ensure products
complied with company policies and procedures. Assisted technicians in addressing equipment malfunctions and
providing remedies. Prepared project scheduling, electro-mechanical packaging layouts and BOM’s. Customized
products for OEM customers including General Electric, Acuson, Diasonics and Siemens. Responsible for retrofit
installing these medical cameras in OEM products.
Completed number of electro mechanical packaging of 4000MP, MP3000 Series II, MP4000 Series III,
and 400 products. Used multiple lenses and mirrors to shorten the optical path to create the smallest video
camera for the medical industry. Duties were involved mechanical design and detailing of sheet metal parts,
injection molded parts and assemblies.
Designed Model 8000 and 9000 hard video camera, which takes multi format pictures on 11” X 14” and
14” X 17” films, from concept to finish. Utilized custom-ground lenses and a long optical path to ensure
superior image quality. Cameras used for CT, MRI Digital Radiography.
