Seasoned management professional holding both Mechanical Engineering and Business (MBA) degrees with work experiences centered largely in the capital equipment and diversified machinery sectors. Roles have varied to include Design Engineer, Program Manager, Product Line Manager, Operations Manager, and General Manager. WORK EXPERIENCE

July 2021 - January 2022, General Manager, Advanced Sawmill Machinery, Holt, FL

Reporting to the acting company President, accountable to P&L results of a $5M business involved in the engineering, manufacture, sale, and service of timber processing capital equipment. CV-19 had taken a severe financial toll on the company purely on economic terms, further compounded by the permanent loss of three department heads due to death or permanent incapacitation.

- Initiated a cadence within the organization to regularly identify and prioritize issues with corresponding action plans.

- Assessed sources for financial distress, root causes, and prospects for remedies.

- Shepherded the organization into a September 20th bankruptcy filing, advising equity interests that this approach was the only viable path forward for all company stakeholders.

- Managed resources to keep the company afloat while providing the legal team and the US Trustee’s office the information required of the bankruptcy process.

- Prospected mezzanine financing; in parallel, sought out potential buyers

- Efforts culminated in a stock sale, January 3rd, to a well established industry participant with significant management and capital resources, thereby salvaging 50+ livelihood interests (employees, suppliers, and their affiliations) depending on the company as an ongoing concern.

2018 - 2021, General Manager (EOS Integrator), Keystone Industries, Atlanta, GA

Reporting to the company President, accountable to P&L results of a $5M business involved in the engineering, manufacture, sale (B2B), and servicing of precision thermoplastic processing and dispensing equipment serving a broad sector of industries such as consumer packaged goods, automotive, textiles, appliances, medical disposables, paperboard converting, and windows and doors. Maintained cadence within the organization, holding teams accountable, executing business plans, prioritizing efforts, clarifying organizational direction, helping to break through impediments and harmoniously integrating Operations, Finance, HR/Personnel, Marketing, Sales, and Engineering. Responsible directly and indirectly for all staff, totaling 18-20.

2011 - 2018, Director of Operations, Keystone Industries, Atlanta, GA

Leading a job shop of 15-17 team members, spanning engineering, purchasing, production, shipping, and receiving, held primary accountability to key performance indicators (KPIs). Implemented a data mining tool to automate KPI reporting and synthesize insights. Systematically drove improvements in KPI’s using principles of 6 sigma / Lean / DMAIC. In a short period of time, teams were able to:

- Reduce defect rate by 50%.

- Improve on time delivery from 70% to 95%+.

- Improve inventory turns from 7.5 to 11.8.

Increased revenue an average of 10% YoY through efforts such as, new product development, product line extensions, product line refresh, and promotional efforts for existing products such as trade shows and white papers. Increased gross margins from 45% to 55% over the course of five years through pricing leverage, operational / lean efforts, and cost reductions.

- Led cross-functional teams spanning several business groups to reduce slow moving inventory by ~$3M over 3 years and improving turns on active inventory, improving days of sales in inventory by 30% over the span of 5 years.

- Improved customer satisfaction and market share as inferred / measured by 1) an improvement in on-time delivery performance from 45% to 75%, and 2) a reduction in the rate at which outstanding issues flowed into the quality queue from 15 per week to 5 per week.
