• Good knowledge in DCS, Distributed control system (centum 2000) .Three out of five
petrochemical plants was controlled by DCS. Used to observe HMI, if set value change
occurs for particular process, the alarms will be the indication for us to find the source of
error and mostly chocking inside the impulse tube or malfunctioning of the transmitter
connected in the control would be the cause of issue. After solving the issue, will be going
back to control room and again DCS will be starting if it is not making alarms,it goes for
normal functioning. Since all plants were chemical manufacturing, I am capable to supervise
chemical plant under the control of DCS/ PLC.
• Experienced in Programmable logic device PLC.PLC was the main controlling element in
steam supply generating plant, water treatment, zero discharging plant, nitrogen supply
generating plant. As per the weekly maintenance and checking schedule, I used to visit all
these plant and make sure all the relay contacts are in proper functioning. Sometimes the
process engineers need my presence to show some wrong functioning due to some settings
change happened .I will analyze the need and will check the P and I diagram for getting the
overall idea of that particular set values and operating points.
• Sound Knowledge in Logix Pro software and ladder programming. Sometimes the ladder
program needs to be changed in the same PLC for some improved performance. Capable to
understand and modify the ladder logic programming.
• Can handle designing the control loops for different process situations. As some of the
processes were highly explosive, pneumatic control units were highly preferred for such
processes. I have designed the control loops which work on the basis of pressure,
temperature, flow and level. Handled both electronic and pneumatic control loops including
sensing element, electronic/pneumatic transmitter, controlling (in control unit), feedback and
control valves (electronic/pneumatics).
• Servicing knowledge about the control equipment like different transmitters, sensors, control
valves.
• Design level activities can analyze E&I diagram, I can identify the process flow by looking
at the E&I diagram, Designed different control loops for different reactions.
