CAE tools: HyperMesh, ICEM, ANSA, LS-DYNA, Abaqus, PTC Creo, Pro-Engineer,
SolidWorks, Catia, Matlab
Certification: PTC Creo 2.0
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Advanced Human Modeling Laboratory, Wayne State University Nov 2013-
Present
FEA Research Assistant:
Toyota safety research project:
. Developed high quality mesh of human head as per quality criteria
provided by client using Hypermesh.
. Processed preliminary simulations for stability checks using Ls-dyna as
solver.
. Validated skull and brain mesh under dynamic loading conditions
through Ls-dyna. Parameters such as brain pressure, brain motion, brain
contusion and skull fracture were compared with test results.
. Achieved parametric study to observe effect of material properties of
brain on brain pressure.

Crashworthiness and Occupant Safety:
. FMVSS 214 Side Impact Protection:
Simulated Global model of Chevrolet C2500 Pickup for FMVSS 214 75
degree and 90 degree pole test with a SID II 5th Percentile Female
dummy. Further, determined injury value by strengthening the Side
Impact assembly and lowering the Injury criterions.
Directed Study under guidance of Dr. Feng Zhu and Dr. King Yang, Wayne
State University:
. Upgraded Wayne State University finite element human model with finely
meshed Lumbar spine and pelvis. Validating the mesh with test results
using Ls-dyna.
Deepak Fertilizers and Petrochemicals Corporation, Mumbai, India June
2011-March 2012 Mechanical Engineer:
. Resolved immediate maintenance issues and conducted regular preventative
maintenance activities occurring in the mechanical equipments such as
pumps, compressors, heat exchangers and boilers.
Managed tasks assigned to floor technicians and supervised the quality of
work delivered.
ACADEMIC PROJECTS:
Finite Element Analysis:
Winter 2014
. Determination of fatigue life of flip chip package: Analyzed the
stresses in the solder ball when subjected to a cyclic thermal load.
Predicted the fatigue life of solder balls in completely and
incompletely filled flip-chip packages to understand the effects of
under fill material. Abaqus was used as solver.
. Sheet metal cutting process: Determined stress distribution in upper and
lower dies in sheet metal cutting process using Abaqus. Observed the
effect of trim die angle on cutting edge stresses.
Matlab Project on Composite Material: Fall 2013
. Performed complex calculation to identify stress and strain in each
layer of laminate with varying thickness and orientation in a Composite
Material with the help of Matlab.
