I worked as a clerical assistant to a Orthopedic Surgeon. I filed and pulled medical charts, filed

papers in the medical charts as well as prepped them for scanning. I made and canceled

appointments for new and current patients. I took phone calls for the office and made sure that

calls went to the appropriate person. Messages were taken when needed. I gave support to the

medical assistant when needed. I called in prescription and made appointments with other

medical offices for patients when needed. When needed I would request medical records from

where they were needed as well as providing copies of medical records to those that needed them.

I learned some on posting and preparing all paperwork for potential surgery patients.
