manufacturing environments. Proven ability to create cost-effective and reliable solutions to
meet customer specifications. Additional experience in product development and design of
custom bearing assemblies. Skilled in machine design, CAD software, and test procedures.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Kilian Bearings/Manufacturing – Syracuse, NY
March 2011 – present
Mechanical Engineer
Developed, designed, built, programmed, and implemented semi-automated assembly
stations for a leading manufacturer of custom bearing assemblies. Designed and built
several custom sorting fixtures, testing fixtures and special measurement tools. Created
documentation and trained operators on new processes.
Served on design team that introduced new or enhanced existing designs in the
transmission and interior automotive bearing categories. Performed extensive product
development work based on customer requirements and test results. Assisted in all
aspects of designs including sketches, CAD modeling, testing, and FEA simulations.
Worked on many continuous improvement projects throughout the manufacturing facility
to reduce cycle times, increase reliability, and to reduce scrap.
Marquardt Switches – Cazenovia, NY
May 2008 – August 2008
Quality Engineering Co-Op
Provided mechanical engineering support to aid with failure analysis and experiment s of
new product production for a high quality automotive and industrial switch manufacturer.
Created training documents and work instructions for assembly stations.
Completely designed and developed mechanical test fixture, which increased production
capability by 300%. Quality tasks also involved gage r&r's and capability studies.
TRW Automotive – Auburn, NY
May 2007 – Dec. 2007
Process Engineering Co-Op
Worked closely with engineering integrators to prepare, debug, test and run custom
equipment for tire pressure sensors and receivers. Contributed to the launch of new
assembly lines by training employees machine operations while proving capability.
