Facilitates safety & health programs and plant environmental compliance programs in support of companywide guidelines, standards, and applicable governmental regulations.
Provides on-site guidance, direction, and leadership in all areas of plant EHS management, regulatory compliance, company culture, safety tracking and t raining, job hazard assessment, engineering controls,case management, safety and environmental audits, risk assessment, and reporting.
Driving the OSHAS 18001 implementation process for the Eastman facility.
Provides support and guidance to the Production Leadership Team on scheduled shutdowns and equipment changeovers, as well as Project Managers on Capital Projects.
Evaluates, revises, and establishes Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other metrics for site performance assessment in accordance with company and industry best-in-class performance.

Effectively implemented a structured safety management system to ensure regulatory compliance and reduce company risk.
Reduction in OSHA injury rates by 25%, worker’s compensation costs by 20% and lost-time injuries by 100% (zero lost-time injuries in 2014).
Achieved 1M man-hours without lost-time incident and 250K work hours without recordable incident through implementation of safety management system.
Successfully spearheaded and deployed ergonomic stretching program, contractor safety management program, management of change program, and permitting program for high-risk tasks.
