Manage three person Benefits Department handling all

self-funded Health & Welfare and Retirement Plans for 3000

employees in the U.S., with a $15M budget.

Responsibilities: Health & Welfare and Retirement benefit

plan selection and design and Vendor selection. Day to day

administration of Retirement Plan, FSA & HSA plans.

Financial reporting to SR. Management. Communication and

Delivery strategy for benefit plans. ERISA, ADEA, COBRA,

FMLA, HIPAA, PPACA and all related law compliance and

Implemented consumer driven health plan model utilizing a

high-deductible health plan with health savings account,

achieved 33% participation through communication and

enrollment strategy.

Implemented paperless enrollment system partnering with

enrollment firm to provide on-site 1-1 benefits counseling

sessions with the inclusion of a call center for those who

could not be seen on-site and for perpetual enrollment

going forward with reporting back from enrollment firm on a

weekly basis for data upload into payroll system and

carrier systems.

Implemented robust Wellness Program rewarding employees and

spouse's for successful completion of program.

1/1999 - 10/2007 Premier Salons Int'l, Inc., Golden Valley,

Manage four person Benefits Department handling all Health

& Welfare and Retirement Plans for 2500 employees in the

U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada. Responsibilities: Health &

Welfare benefit plan selection and design. Vendor

selection. Day to day administration of Retirement Plans.

Delivery strategy for benefit plans. ERISA, ADEA, COBRA,

Mergers and Acquisitions Team Member - participated in 8

acquisitions. Prepared all benefit packets for newly

acquired staff and did on-site presentations of their new

package.

Implemented paperless enrollment system - Employees now

enroll via phone during their free time. Live enrollment

specialists help them with benefit elections.

Implemented an individual insurance program allowing

employees who had individual coverage to enjoy pre-tax

payroll deductions.

Implemented a deductible reimbursement program.

Implemented an Exempt Manager program with enhanced

benefits for key location managers to help attract and

retain key management staff
