Experience

Beefeaters - Greater Chicago Area, IL, 2012 to Present

?Director of Sales for Food, Drug, and Mass; Consumer Goods

Hired to take the established Beefeaters products in pet specialty and

expand them into the Food, Drug, Mass classes of trade.

Currently charged with hiring a broker network, training them, performing

key account calls with them, and measurement of our progress.

Key early successes include: hiring and training 8 brokers in the first 4

months; adding 3 premiere Beefeaters items into Walgreens, producing $1

million in new business within the first year; doubling HEB distribution

from 3 to 7 items on my first call; adding 6 items into Family Dollar,

doubling its volume; and selling 14 new items to Spartan.

I continue to expand the Beefeaters name in FDM, and I am now introducing 2

new brands nationally that will ship in summer.

Alberto Culver/Unilever - Melrose Park, IL, 1986 to February 2012:

?2001-2012 Central Regional Manager, Culver Specialty Brands (CSB)

Division USA, Team GDL

Responsible for the central region of the country with $20.0 million

annually in sales and over a $2.0 million trade budget. My region consisted

of 9 brokers, as well as a cross-functional sales person who calls on

Target. Products include: Mrs. Dash, Static Guard, Bakers Joy, and others.

Major regional accounts include: Kroger, Super Valu Corporate, Super Valu

Wholesale, Target, Walgreens, and Meijer. Remainder of my region consisted

of all food accounts in the upper Midwest.

Formerly in control of Sam's and Costco for 8 of the 10 years, but

relinquished control to strengthen western Region Manager territory size.

Out of the 8 running years of the "National Broker of the Year," my central

region produced the winner in 5 of them.

Appointed to Growth Development Leader (GDL) Group leader of CSB division

for 8 of the 10 years.

Rated by my GDL Group into Alberto's Elite Level throughout 7 of the 8

years I have been a GDL. In those years, I achieved the highest GDL award

level, with only a handful of others with me.

?1996-2001 Southern Regional Manager, Professional Division

Managed the southeast portion of the country for the Professional Division.

Rapidly developed Tresemme hair care product distribution and promotion in

the Southeast during the brand's critical infancy.

Became the leader in learning new technology for this group as the industry

changed to computer-based/fact-based selling versus relationship selling. I

then worked to assist others in my group progress as well.

Managed 9 brokers under this professional division.

My champion retail accounts included: Publix, Winn Dixie, Food Lion, and

Walgreens.

?1995-1996 National Director of Sales, Household Division

Promoted to Director of Sales in 1995, running the sales of a $35.0 million

business.

6th promotion in 9 years at Alberto Culver.

Had 10 direct reports and maintained responsibility through them for

brokerage coverage nationwide.

9 months into position, Alberto Culver decided to fold the Household

business into the Toiletries Division. I oversaw the closing of the

division, severance to the employees, and the orderly transfer of business

to the new division with no loss of business.
