Mechanical Design Engineer/Estimator
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, my duties include producing
engineering drawings for customer’s wishing to have custom made metal parts and
structures. Talking to customers over the phone and taking orders over the phone in order
to produce shop drawings for fabrication purposes. Bantry Metal Products is a custom
metal fabrication company dealing in structural and sheet metal fabrication. Metals
ranging from mild steel, aluminum and stainless steel are our core competencies. Brought
in new process flow systems and automation in order to speed up customer orders is a
mild stone achieved. MIG and TIG as well as stick welding capabilities. Presently
involved in obtaining CWB W47.1 certification. Financial reporting as well as
overseeing junior staff members is one of my responsibilities as well as developing
strategic mild stones to put us more competitive on the open market.

company. As a automotive lift manufacturer, certification through a American body
known as A.L.I, was attained for two large in ground hydraulic lift systems, giving the

company related meetings with upper management regarding production as well as

Responsibilities included taking a sales release package from the sales department and
making up drawings to release to the shop for fabrication. Putting together bills of
materials, costing analysis, and meeting or exceeding budget expectations. Duties also
included project reports and handling of all phases of a project from concept to shipping.
On site visits to customers for start up and installation as well as presentations to upper
management. Used CIRSMA as the main platform for producing risk assessments on all
projects as well as drafted up start up and installation procedures for all systems in
accordance to OSHA and CSA standards. Managed engineering contractors, equipment
procurement, inspection and construction contractors to ensure projects were completed
safely, on schedule and within budget. Consistently attained the highest profit margin on
cost reducing methods for customer projects as well as in house process improving
methods out in the shop. Supervising, training, coaching, budgeting, scheduling and cost
control played an active role in my list of daily responsibilities as well as weekly
meetings with all departments to micro manage each projects progress as it was going
through the shop. Responsible for the testing and all personnel associated with the testing
and the logging of all information involved in each project before going out the door.
