Work History
1/2014 to Current Plant Engineer
ASCO Numatics – Sandusky, Michigan
All Senior Manufacturing Engineer duties and the plant wide contact for all building, and
grounds related issues. Main contact for the implementation of all capital expenditures
projects, including designs and placement to optimize plant productivity. Management
responsibilities include the Supervision of the maintenance personnel, janitorial staff,
machine technicians, plant wide preventative maintenance, and supervision of the Panel
Building business segment of the company.
1/2012 to 1/2014 Senior Manufacturing Engineer
ASCO Numatics – Sandusky, Michigan
All manufacturing Engineer duties and the gate keeper for all Manufacturing drawings of
the company, including paper and electronically archived files, primary designer of
fixtures related to the Safe assembly of components, and the main laser programmer.
Management responsibilities include the Supervision of four other engineers, three
maintenance personnel, daytime janitor, and mentor to Engineering Interns.
1/2010 to 1/2012 Manufacturing Engineer
Numatics – Sandusky, Michigan
All Process Engineering duties and the primary contact for the plant security system,
phone and IT contact, building related issues such as insurance and fire inspections, and
the CSA and UL on site contact. This was for the main plant and an offsite building.
Management duties include being the Safety and Environmental backup to the main
contact, which included obtaining a Storm Water Operator Permit from the Michigan
Department of Environmental Quality.
10/2000 to 1/2010 Product/Process Engineer
Numatics Inc. – Sandusky, Michigan
Responsible for the support and optimization of the assembly process, including
automated test stand development, from construction to online troubleshooting, assembly
fixture design, procurement, and ultimate implementation using a hands on approach to
the assembly department issues and concerns. All of this was done, while using
principles of ergonomics and safety, to meet all OSHA guidelines, but just as important,
solving the issues at hand for the end users.
12-1995 to 10-2000 Senior Field Service Engineer
Marquip Ward United – Phillips, Wisconsin
I performed service, installation, and startup, of corrugated box production equipment
at customer facilities throughout the United States and Canada, which also included
conducting Operation and Safety Training to plant operators and maintenance
personnel. Installations involved supervising two shifts of riggers, electricians, pipe
fitters, plant maintenance, and other Marquip Field Service personnel, to meet the
requirements of a mandated on time startup of the production equipment.
Past Performance Indicators
My largest installation project involved the successful and on time startup, of four
contiguous corrugated box production machines totaling over $750,000 worth of
equipment. This included the oversight of other Field Service personnel and outside
contractors, and the successful training of plant personnel, which resulted in the project
starting on time and performing to the customer’s expectations.
I have overseen the successful completion of a $145,000 capital improvement project to
the facility, which required the temporary relocation of plant personnel parking, to
accommodate the construction being done. This also required taking into account plant
personnel Safety concerns for access to the facility, while construction was being
performed outside.
My single largest cost saving and improvement project involved the successful
implementation, of a reverse osmosis water system to an E-Coat paint line. This involved
the research, quoting, financial analysis, and upper management presentation, which
ultimately resulted in a yearly savings of $125,000 to the company.
I have overseen and been responsible for plant wide improvement projects, which have
needed to be performed on weekends and holidays. One of these includes the
replacement of the plants main electrical distribution panel, which required the plant
power to be disconnected from the electrical grid, for a Safe installation.
