Academic MSc Project

OFDM signal transmission and reception for wireless system PHY layer measurements

The aim of the project is to design an OFDM transmitter and implement OFDM signals generated into

FPGA and DAC/ADC evaluation board. Before the OFDM signal generation and reception algorithm

where the signals are demodulated off-line by downloading into signal generator hardware and capturing

them by signal receiver equipment. This is not a flexible procedure since it requires lot of manual

operations. Different parameters used to create an OFDM signal, like QAM Level, FFT window size, the

number of subcarriers, frequency of subcarriers, frequency spacing, the number of data, pilot and zero

subcarriers and cyclic prefix length is considered.

The final aim of the project is to design a robust OFDM transmitter, and implement the design on FPGA

and DAC/ADC hardware.
