1998-Present, Owner/General Manager, Crawford Heating & Cooling, Charlotte, NC. Performing full-service
installation, preventive maintenance and repair of air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems including piping,
duct work, power and control wiring in compliance of NC Building Code requirements, proper permitting and standard
operating practices.
1990-1997, Engineering Supervisor, Orthopaedic Hospital of Charlotte, Charlotte, NC. Responsible for overall
supervision of the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Department including shop meetings, training, and direct
contact with vendors for contract compliance. Responsibilities included programmi ng and operations of the hospital
building management system (Trane Tracer System); maintenance and repair of HVAC, ice -making and refrigeration
systems; maintenance and repair of the nurse call system, fire alarm system, sprinkler system and fire pump;
maintenance of the overhead paging system; and preventive maintenance, repair, and load testing of emergency

1984-1988, Engineering Technician, Orthopaedic Hospital of Charlotte, Charlotte, NC. Responsible for
installation, preventive maintenance and repair of the hospital’s newly purchased computer network, including
hardware and PC’s. He was also responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of patient zone line A/C units
and larger units up to 60 tons, ice-making and refrigeration systems, sterilizer units, boilers and boiler room
equipment, and the nurse call system. He performed preventive maintenance, testing and repair to the fire alarm
system, sprinkler system and fire pump; maintained the overhead paging system; performed preventive maintenance
and repairs to surgical tables and lights; and performed preventive maintenance, repairs and load testing of
emergency generators.
1977-1984, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Mechanic, VA Medical Center, Tuskegee, AL. Responsible for
installation, maintenance and repair of window A/C units, package A/C units and remote A/C units. Maintained
ventilating, exhaust and supply air systems, special purpose equipment, ice -making, water-cooling and refrigeration
equipment. Also responsible for operation, maintenance and repair of the facility’s therapeutic swimming pool. He
installed compressors in reach-in coolers, walk-in coolers, refrigerators, window A/C units, 5 ad 8-ton package units,
under-counter refrigerators; replaced fan motors in 5 and 8-ton package units; installed evaporator fan motors in
refrigerators; replaced defrost timers in refrigerators; and chill water lines (supply and return) for fan coil units. He
overhauled air handling units (replaced barings, shafts, fans, coils, filters, valves, adjusted dampers and replaced
belts) and condensers on A/C plants, and maintained and repaired complex chiller systems, repaired chill water
pumps, evaporative cooling tower systems, control air systems, purge pump systems and icemakers. He also
installed a T-1000 surveillance module monitor for the blood bank unit.
