Empirical research to evaluate the condition of unsecured creditors in Chapter 11
bankruptcy in the United Sates. Contrary to the general belief that Chapter 11
bankruptcies end in having 363 sale and nothing is left for the unsecured creditors,
our research highlighted a trend that unsecured creditors did have relief from the
Chapter 11 filing . I was part of the research team to find those cases between the
years 2006-07 where unsecured creditors are benefitted under Chapter 11.
