Relevant Coursework
Capstone Project: Developed method of packaging to prevent damage to ultra-sound equipment
during WIP for Sound Technology. Lead team in development of packaging.
Operations Research/Service System Engineering: Developed service systems to work at optimum
efficiency using linear and nonlinear programs.
Information Processing/Simulation: Wrote programs that allowed for easy data-mining, through the
use of k-means and SQL’s. Interpreted data that was gathered. Simulate systems using Arena and
analyze the output.
Engineering Probability and Statistics: Analyzed probabilities, statistics, and errors of various
projects
Engineering Economics: Budgeted various examples of engineering projects.
Lean Manufacturing: By utilizing factory ph ysics, made various systems operate more efficiently
by improving their throughput, WIP, process time, etc.
Case Study Experience
Developed probabilistic and deterministic inventory models based on various given information
about a company and its customer demand.
Given hundreds of lines of data, data-mining techniques were used for analysis. From this analysis,
marketing models were suggested.
Using Lindo, a linear program was developed and an optimal solution was found. The solution was
then analyzed and interpreted.
