Healthcare Management-Military
• Annually provides 15,000 days of clinical support to Navy Medicine, and ensures medical readiness for over 11,000
service members across Navy Region Southeast.
• Provide specialized support and services to fleet and shore units in areas of environmental health, preventive
medicine, potable water, waste water, disease surveillance/outbreak investigation, and health promotion.
• Direct Pubic Health education programs dealing with topics like preventable disease, injuries, nutrition, food service
sanitation, water supply safety, sewage waste disposal, insect control, and also immunizations.
• Knowledge in and understanding of Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Advisory Committee on Immunization
Practices (ACIP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), Code of
Federal Regulations (CFR), National Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH).
• Clinical duties included preparation of clinic for examination, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories,
preparing patients for examination, drawing blood for lab testing, and administering medications as directed.
