Experience 3-2014 to 4-2015 HSI Inc. Omaha, NE

Traffic Control Manager:

Responsibilities included but not limited to: Managed a crew ranging from 5-8 men. Also coordinated with the temp/ perm

striping supervisor when paint was included in the TC bid. Responsible for all aspects of Traffic Control for IA, NE and KS.

Knowledge of specs for all 3 states. Called in locates via phone ad online. Lathed out projects when necessary. Attended all pre-

con meetings. Worked with main contractors, state inspectors and project managers very closely. Performed both office

responsibilities and hands on field work. I did whatever it took to ensure the projects were done properly, contractors could keep

working and the states/ cities were content. Trained new employees in regards to drivers logs, time sheets and basic beginnings of

TC. Helped further other employees careers. Kept records via pictures, hard files and outlook calendar/ email files. Reported

everything directly to Operations manager and VP. Discipline of employees when necessary. Worked well with my coworkers and

upper management. Helped to initiate new ideas and tools to make operations more efficient.

Experience 3-2012 to 9-2013 Bonnies Barricades, Des Moines, IA

Operations Manager:

Responsibilities were but not limited to: In Charge of entire operations of the company. Second in charge directly under Bonnie

Ruggless, owner. Implementation of new safety meeting scheduled monthly and as needed (in charge of all safety aspects).

Ensuring all projects met IDOT and ATSSA standards. Reading, implementation and ensuring all understood plans and

specifications. Scheduling a very heavy workload with a very small workforce. Going out to project locations to layout sign and

equipment locations in prep for install and calling Iowa One-Call. Making sure all extra work orders were documented.

Communicate thoroughly with all drivers, office staff, and estimator. Reported directly to Bonnie Ruggless. Hiring, discipline of,

yearly reviews, and firing employees as needed. Worked towards making sure all bid projects came in within budget, which was

very difficult with a small workforce. Scheduling of all work which included daily rentals and bid projects. Responsible for all

inventory both owned equipment and sales, sign making materials and all other needs of the company. Initiated and installed a

safety program for all drivers and held job specific safety meetings.

Experience 2007-2011 Bob’s Barricades, Tampa, FL

Assistant Branch Manager:

Responsibilities were but not limited to: All aspects of scheduling, dispatching and follow-up of new and current projects. Quotes

of rental equipment using a “one-shot” form. Daily Managers Reports. Assisting the Branch Manager as needed. Calling in

locates for post-mount jobs. Hiring, terminating and discipline of all employees. Working with warehouse and yard personnel to

ensure safety, organization and follow-up on employee’s responsibilities. Ordering all equipment, tools and materials needed for

the branch. Monthly inventory and documenting all items. Going over blow out sheets and P & L statements and whenever there

was a discrepancy, follow-up with contractors and/or office personnel to figure out issues. Record keeping via hand written notes,

emails and computer programs. Managed a workforce of 25 employees including drivers and office staff. Responding to all

contractors needs and keeping the lines of communication open at all times. Working extra hours as needed including Sunday’s

tailgate parties held by Bob’s for customers at Raymond James Stadium. Reported to all superiors on a daily basis. Responsible

for all aspects of safety including preparing and conducting meetings.

Experience 2006-2007 NES Traffic Safety Boston, MA

Traffic Control Manager:

Supervised crews ranging from 30-45 employees not including office staff. Responsibilities were but not limited to: Scheduled

and estimated in all areas of traffic control management and sign installation. Responsible for daily reports and for weekly

payroll for traffic control personnel. Responsible for end of month billing for all traffic control projects. Dealt directly with the

Mass Highway Dept and contractors for work on the Big Dig. Worked with MHD districts for emergency traffic control.

Designed traffic control plans for numerous private contractors. Performed weekly job site inspection to insure safety of set ups.

Also responsible for safety off all employees via meetings and keeping minutes of the safety meetings. Responsible for all traffic

control equipment including arrow boards, message boards, trucks, signs etc. Kept all records via computer and filing system.

Responsible for marking out and calling in dig safe locations. Performed survey work for sign installation including over head

highway signage.

Experience 2000-2006 United Rentals HT Cleveland, OH

Operations Manager/Branch Manager:

Supervised a crew ranging from 20-23. Scheduled traffic control, maintenance of traffic, roadway striping and sign installation

for major construction companies in the Cleveland area as a sub-contractor and as a general contractor. Responsible for the

counseling process by monitoring employee attendance, productivity, and other performance markers and by generating

counseling forms and counseling employees, as needed. Dealt directly with Contractors and ODOT officials. Provided solutions

to branch issues that helped increase both profit and productivity. Accurately process financial data and employee information.

Interface and coordinate with customer service and account management Record keeping via letters and email. Responsible to

ensure all work met with federal, state and local specifications (MUTCD, Ohio Specifications, etc.) Responsibilities increased to

Branch Manager on an interim basis of 5 months while branch was in transition. I was responsible for all Branch Manager duties

and Operational duties while in position. Was placed back into Operations Manager position after branch manager position was

filled. Was responsible to train new Branch Manager during transition. Both positions included all aspects of job specific safety

issues. Was deemed branch safety manager.

Associates Degree in Construction Management.

Background: I have many years experience in the field of construction management. I possess the ability to work well with all

involved parties on any given job. I am computer savvy and use them as tool for many reasons. I enjoy the fast-paced

environment of the construction industry and I know how to work in the office and field environments. I have the ability to read

blue prints, plans and specifications. I am also proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
