2010-2011 Activity Director: Harrison Senior Living: Christiana, PA

Responsibilities included but were not limited to ensuring the needs of residents in my care were being

given therapeutic activities on a regular basis to improve and maintain physical, mental, emotional, fine

and gross motor skills. I managed a team of Therapeutic Recreation Aides for a two hundred bed skilled

nursing care facility. I implemented a monthly activity calendar for three separate units based on levels of

skill and ability. I was also in charge of ordering all supplies and keeping a monthly budget report. I was

in charge of special events and holiday planning. I was responsible for all mandated paperwork such as

MDS and progress notes regularly. I was in charge of initial assessments and interviewing for charting. I

was also responsible for a monthly newsletter which was distributed amongst the nursing facility and

mailed to family members. I was nominated to be the spokeswoman for the companies Dementia Unit’s

Support Group held monthly. I also participated as part of the care-plan team ensuring family’s needs

were being heard and met at care-plan meetings.

2006-2008 Surgical Counselor: Premier Eye Care Group: Harrisburg, PA

Responsibilities included but were not limited to counseling patients on Refractive Eye Surgery. I was

responsible for taking all preliminary measurements including Pupilometry readings, Pachymetry, Endo-

counts, refractions, submerging ultrasounds using VUE-MAX, wave-front mapping of the eyes as well as

other duties of O.T. I was also in charge of keeping a detailed report of data outcome reports, ensuring

phone calls were answered in a timely and pleasant manner, scheduling and rescheduling of

appointments, assisting surgeon in chart notes during appointments, spokes-woman for our facility

holding seminars and presentations for the public, charting accurate and precise information for the

surgery center, ordering of implants for surgery as well as other duties as assigned.

2005-2006 Therapeutic Recreation Assistant: Lebanon Valley Brethren Home: Palmyra, PA

Responsibilities included but were not limited to providing creative and therapeutic activities for a multi-

level care nursing home. My experience here was on all units, however mainly spend in the Dementia

Care/Alzheimer’s Unit. It was my responsibility to ensure MDS paperwork and progress notes were

completed in detail and on time. I participate in weekly employee meetings to maintain level of care for

our residents. I was to ensure the safety and well- being of my residents at all times, while creating

therapeutic activities to improve their quality of living on a daily basis. I was part of a team where I

needed to be creative while maintaining the safety and dignity of the residents in my care at all times. I

was also in charge of driving a multi passenger van for resident outings and events.
