Set-Up Specialist

I started as a machine operator where I read blue prints and ran the

machine which produces the outer shell of file cabinets. I also ran a

drawer body machine and worked in Final Assembly. In 2003 I was

promoted to Lead Man over the Weld Department due to my welding

abilities and knowledge of the department duties and equipment. I was

promoted again, in 2010, to Set-Up Specialist. In my current position I

make sure all machines are set up properly, quality of production is

accurate and timely, perform all routine maintenance on equipment and

machines in the department, and schedule ship dates. I also drive a fork

lift, weld and run machines when needed.

I built executive and conference table tops. I routed the tops and sealed

them. I then put them on a line to be sent to the Finishing Department.
