OBJECTIVES
To seek new challenges following retirement from my career at Pepsi Bottling Group
To utilize my strong vendor relationship capabilities and knowledge
To continue to develop and grow
PEPSI CAREER EXPERIENCE - February 1998 to March 2015
Machine Operator
I started as a new hire on the bag and box line, then became qualified on both the small bottle and two liter
bottle lines as well as the can line By the time I left Production in 2001 to become a Quality Control Lab Tech, I
was multi-machine qualified.
Lab Tech
During my time in the Lab, I have become fully qualified in all aspects of the job. For the past 12 years, I
have served in the special capacity of managing our concentrate inventory, working in conjunction with our
Logistics Team and, utilizing the Sessions 10X Program as well as the NIS/CITRIX/AVAIL Programs, I
determined the types, amounts and configurations of the many different concentrates we used, both Corporate
and Allied. In short, I ordered, received and processed payment for all of the concentrate items in support of our
extensive and ever-changing production schedules. I utilized a single-transaction spending limit of $2,000,000
dollars in the course of my duties
Performance of my duties included frequent telephone and e-mail contact with a host of outside vendors and
PCNA employees - my Dr. Pepper/7-Up representative for Schweppes/Hawaiian Punch concentrate is in Texas,
my Tampico concentrate representative is in Illinois, my Mays Chemical Company contact (from whom we
purchased ascorbic acid, potassium sorbate and tartaric acid) is in Indiana, my corporate Concentrate Logistics
Coordinator is in Somers, New York and my contact at Penske Logistics for corporate concentrate delivery
issues is located in Pennsylvania. It was essential for a well coordinated effort in support of our production to
develop and maintain good working relationships with all of these contacts and I believe I excelled in this
capacity.
My position also included trouble-shooting. If production was adversely affected due to back ordered items or
shipping issues, etc., I was generally able to give our Production Scheduler a heads up so she could modify the
production schedules, and I would order raw materials accordingly, primarily due to the strong working
relationships I cultivated.
In addition, for the past dozen years I have been ordering all of the QC Lab chemicals and supplies. Again, I
have developed and maintained good working relationships with a variety of far flung companies including
Chemical Service Labs in Florida, Hach Company in Colorado, Millipore Corporation in Massachusetts, Terris
Consolidated Industries in New Jersey, VWR International in California and Mays Chemicals in Indiana.
At times, I was also assigned to batch flavors as well as order concentrate, chemicals, contact vendors, etc.
I was personally responsible for managing the on-shelf concentrate inventories which would typically range in
value from 1-2 million dollars at any given time.
I am very detail-oriented and task-focused. My attendance record during my tenure at Pepsi is exemplary. I
missed very few days of work in 17 years. I am hard working, loyal and able to multi task. I believe that my
various skills and ability to work with people would be an asset to any prospective employer. I worked to
continually learn new skills and advance myself and I believe I earned the respect and confidence of the various
managers I worked under.
