Career Overview
With more than 15 years of experience in the healthcare and technology industries Greg Gootee is a key
contributor in his field. His professional background includes network engineering for mental health
networks in Oregon and Indiana and systems engineering for a Beaverton, Oregon company. In 1998, he
joined Portland’s Electra Central Credit Union as MIS manager and was quickly promoted to the position
of vice president/CIO. In 2002, he founded Circuit One Computer Consulting, Inc., a medical/dental
systems integration firm. He also worked as operations manager for Radiant Research, where he
coordinated phase one clinical research. Gootee served as a licensed pharmacy technician and assistant
manager at a Portland area Walgreen’s store. In this role, he oversaw inventory management,
merchandising and pharmacy operations, among other duties. Gootee most recently worked as CIO at
Mid Rogue IPA where he provides technology vision and leadership in the development and
implementation of the company wide information technology (IT) program.
Gootee, a former firefighter and paramedic, is a member of the American Health Information Management
Association. He holds a bachelor’s degree in information technology from the University of Phoenix, and
graduated cum laude from George Fox University’s MBA program.
