California State University Long Beach Expected: May
2015
Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Specialization: Design and Manufacturing GPA: 3.22
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University
May 2013
Bachelor of Technology in Mechatronics GPA: 3.5
Experience
Low NOx Emissions (Research Assistant) September2014-
Present
•
Leading a team of 4 under graduate students for SoCal Gas Company’s Project
•
Conducted weekly meetings with students and the company officials
•
Working on a concept which has never been employed before in “automotive or
stationary engine market”, which is designing an automotive EGR system to be a closed
loop cooling system independent from that of the engine’s cooling system
• Involved in designing, simulating and manufacturing all the test rigs and also applying
system engineering principles to cut down our budget
• Experience in solving client issues and production issues
Teaching Assistant, CSULB December 2014-
Present
• Briefed students regarding work assigned
• Conducted research work and have simplified the teaching material for the students to
approach it easily to ‘Introduction to manufacturing Processes’
• Assisting students in the machine shop using the manufacturing processes
Design of Gas Turbine used for power generation applications (Summer Intern) May’12-June ‘12
• Developed, evaluated and improved manufacturing methods
• Conducted a research on design and manufacturing process involved in the production of Gas
turbines
• Designing of a gas turbine blade using ANSYS and PRO-E software and conducted
Finite Element Analysis for calculating deformations and stress
• Worked closely with Process Engineers to understand footprint and electro-mechanical
issues.
Accomplishments
Heat Exchanger Applications for Additive Manufacturing
• My Research work on Heat Exchanger has been selected for RAPID 2015, a preeminent
event for 3D printing
• Conducting research work on how to reduce production costs and increase efficiency of
heat exchangers using additive manufacturing techniques
Excavating Robot for Space Operations
• The project presents a novel emerging robotic technology for space applications to
collect the pictures and temperature readings of the environment as well the soil.
• A “robot prototype” constructed by employing Six Sigma methodology to minimize the
manufacturing defects in electrical devices, which can be used for real applications.
Design and Analysis of Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger
• A Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger was designed and simulated with “Nano Particles” as
a coolant, for which better results were obtained when compared to other coolants.
