ACADEMIC PROJECT
: EAACK –A Secure Intrusion Detection System f or MANETs
Project Title
Operating System : UBUNTU.
Programming Package : NS_allinone2.34.
DESCRIPTION
MANET is self configurable decentralized network, used to exchange data between nodes. MANET is
open medium and the nodes are not physically protected so, MANET is more vulnerable to malicious
attackers. The presence of malicious attackers leads to decrease the network performance.
IDS is used to detect and report malicious activity Ad Hoc Networks. EAACK is the efficient and secure
IDS for MANETs. It gives higher malicious behaviour detection rates with minimal effect on network
performance. EAACK makes MANETs more secure .The major threats like false misbehavior report and
forge acknowledgement can be detected by using this scheme.
BENEFITS
Solves limited transmission power and receiver collision problem.
Capable of detecting misbehavior attack.
Improves packets delivery ratio.
Digital signatures prevents the attack of forge acknowledgement packets
ISM PROJECT
Project Title : CAN Messaging systems for automotives(CAR)
Controller Used : LPC2129
Language : C and Embedded C
IDE : Keil microvision 3.
DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this project is to develop messaging system for an Automotive using CAN protocol. The
controller area network (CAN) is a serial, asynchronous, multi -master communication protocol for
connecting electronic control modules in automotive and industrial applications. Since its inception, the
CAN protocol has gained widespread popularity in industrial automation and automotive/truck
applications.
In this project we are using numerous micro controller based devices wh ich are connected to LPC2129
controller which are intern connected using CAN bus for atomization of automotive electronics.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Requirement Analysis
Prioritizing the messages according to the requirement
Exploring the functionalities of LPC2129 controller
Coding the project
Test the entire CAN network
INDUSTRIAL VISIT
