Oversee five departments covering 120 employees in managing the entire plant operations

encompassing 6x250 MW Oil fired Steam Plants, 2x380 MW Combined Cycle Plants, 2x400 MW

Cogen Combined Cycle Plants, 2x100 MW Open Cycle Gas Turbines and 2x20 MW Black Start

Gas Turbines.

Develop and implement maintenance programs in ensuring the Natural Gas Compressors Systems,

Flue Gas Desulphurization and 10000 m3/d Desalination plants, Water Treatment and Waste Water

Treatment plants as well as the 66kV, 230kV and 400kV Switch Houses are in excellent condition.

Manage the maintenance cost as well as the entire P&L while ensure all plant assets are

professionally maintained in meeting statutory, regulatory and safety requirements.

Cover the erection and commissioning phase of the 2x400 MW Cogen Combined Cycle Plants as

Owner’s Engineer, by identifying potential problems, advising of possible risks involved and

providing potential solutions. Play active role through monitoring and participating during the

final erection and commissioning phase.

Lead plant failure analysis to rectify defects while identify and implement improvement initiatives

to achieve desired availability as well as reliability.

Render expert advice in supporting the operations to increase revenue via generation of electricity,

steam and water sales.

Oversee the development of continuous review of HIRA practices and procedures while inculcate

“Safety First” mind set amongst staffs.

Highlights

Successfully streamlined the subcontracted maintenance activities in saving over US$2.4million

annually.

Achieved US$250,000 cost reduction in seawater intake gratings cleaning by introducing periodical

removal and cleaning instead using expensive water jet machines.

Instrumental in introducing an innovative cleaning method for the fuel oil system to eliminate

periodical shutdown of the Gas Turbine, saving approximately US$300,000 a day in profit loss.

MW in Az Zour South, Kuwait as well as 3xGT 4000F+ST, 1235 MW, 1.5m gal/d Desalination

Plant in Taweelah New B Extension, UAE.

Took over a significantly delayed project in the US from a contractor while motivated the team in

completing the project one week ahead of schedule, gained priceless reputation points across the

industry.
