Description: The project work involves Finite Element Model (FEM) building
and Normal modal analysis for Trim Body Modal.
Responsibilities:
. Modal analysis of complete Trim body using Nastran to establish the
natural frequency and the mode shapes.
. Define analysis parameters such as PARAM cards, Damping, Method,
Frequency range.
. Frequency Response analysis to positively identify the Global modes
and identify the resonances.
. Typical Modes of interest in a Trim Body are:
. Overall Body Modes (Global Torsion, Bending lateral and vertical

Project 5: NVH - Dynamic Stiffness Study

Project Duration:
Description: Project involves Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) based
simulation of various automotive components. The project work involves
Finite Element Model (FEM) building, analysis simulation and counter
measures. The CAE simulation will be done for Noise & Vibration (NVH).
Responsibilities:
. Preparing the excitation setup in the direction of vertical axis of
the vehicle at the engine mounting locations and various suspension
mounting locations of TBIW.
. Performing Frequency response analysis of the TBIW.
. Calculated the dynamic stiffness of the TBIW mounting locations.
. If the dynamic stiffness targets are not meet then go for improvement
study.
Dynamic stiffness improvement study is carried by providing
counter measures like changing
the shapes of the weaker component, providing brackets and
Stiffeners.
Project 6: NVH - Hood and Door Stiffness Analysis
Client : TATA Motors
Project Duration:
Description: The project work involves Finite Element Model (FEM) building,
analysis simulation and counter measures. The CAE simulation will be done
for Noise & Vibration (NVH), Crash, Strength and Durability requirement as
per TATA motors standards.
Responsibilities:
. Checking the initial quality checks of the model provided.
. Preparing the initial setup of tensional, lateral and bending
Stiffness for Hood and Door.
. Measuring the displacement. If the displacement is within the target
then it is fine. If not then performing static stiffness improvement
studies. Static stiffness improvement study is carried by providing
counter measures like changing the shapes of the weaker component,
providing brackets and stiffeners.
Project 7: Structure Borne Noise Analysis - NTF - VTF
Clients : Jaguar Land Rover & TATA Motors
Project Duration:
Description: The project work involves Finite Element Model (FEM) building,
Model set up for NTF and VTF analysis for Trim Body Modal.
Responsibilities:
. FRF analysis and computation of global vertical bending, global
horizontal bending and global torsion.

. Modal participation for optimizing structure borne noise.
