Dual Axis Stabilised Gimbal (DASGA) - LASTEC,Delhi.
A fine tuned control system is design to meet the desired
specifications for dual axis stabilized Gimbal platform assembly. To begin
with, we have considered the open loop frequency response of the Gimbal
assembly (plant) and motor.
Controllers are designed independently for azimuth and elevation.The
philosophy adopted is to first design a fast stabilization (rate) loop, in
which bore sight gyros are used as sensors for rate feedback. The
stabilization loop is then nested within a position (outer) loop that uses
encoder position feedback. The role of the stabilization loop is to
attenuate jitter and stabilize the line of sight (LOS) against
disturbances, while the main role of the position/track loop is to minimize
the positioning (or target tracking) error.
Responsibility:

bringing to a positive conclusion any customer issues.

. Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) for Compact Electronic Unit: CVRDE,
Chennai
Worked as Project Lead:
Automate the testing process for functional checks, performance
checks, troubleshooting and tuning aid for fully assembled compact
electronics unit and PCBs of the compact electronic unit (CEU).
The compact electronic unit is the heart of the gun control
system, which houses the electronics and logics for control law
implementation for gun and turret stabilization.
Responsibility:
1. Responsible for System integration and achieving the customer
expectations.
2. Guided 5 engineers in System related issues, Design, Development,
Implementation,
Testing and Integration with unit and cards.

Worked as Technical Lead:
The DDC board receives inputs from an IF receiver i.e. the
information from the RADAR. The DDC board samples this IF signal and
down samples it to base-band and used for processing.
IF 30 Mhz- Under sampling 24 Mhz- NCO, I/Q channel, FIR down
conversion.
Responsibility:
1. Requirement analysis and complete System Simulation in MATLAB .m
file, Testing and Verification with VHDL.

Digital Compact Electronic Unit (DCEU) is developed to use in
Gun Control System of MBT ARJUN. It operates in four modes: Power,
Bite, Primary (SLAVE) and the STAB mode.
Responsibility:
1. Software Modification, ADSP 2181 assembly coding, MATLAB simulation
and verification, implementation, testing.
2. Involved extensively in integration with Gun control system MBT
ARJUN at customer place and troubleshooting on entire systems.

. Tank Digital Link (TDL) - CVRDE, Chennai
TDL establishes a digital communication b/w different subsystem of the
battle tank. The communication was established through two types of
interfaces, one with 1553B MIL-STD communication bus and another
through Ethernet interface.
