Direct Outside Sales Representative
A growing industrial supply company hired me to create a new territory. Talked and promoted a third store in the
North Texas and Southern Oklahoma area. From Paris, Texas to Gainesville, Texas and from McKinney, Texas to
Durant, Oklahoma. Not having a store in this area, Richard Davis (an old Biggs Weaver Man) wanted to feel-out the
territory to see potential the first six months before he started a new store. Two hundred and fifty (250) new accounts
were established before the store opened in July 2006. With only 2 inside employees and one outside sales
representative, the Sherman Store will meet it’s 2007 – 2008 projected numbers by March of 2007. Working directly
with manufacture representatives and staying very persistent in weekly direct sales calls has opened faster then
Richard had planned. With this job I had a chance to learn the industrial market with a very close clinetelle that I still
have a relationship with most from the paint indusrty all the way down to lubes, patroleums and grease products.
