Prepress Technician- Responsible for preparing customer supplied multi-color files for offset printing, using a

wide array of publishing software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign, Quarkxpress and Adobe

Photoshop for the Macintosh and PC platforms using the Preps Imposition application and Kodak Prinergy

platform for final file output. After file conversion, a high quality, full color proof is produced utilizing the

Epson 9800 color proofing system . After customer approval of the proof, files are digitally output to a 40”

metal printing plate using the Creo Trendsetter imagesetter. I am also responsible for keeping all of the

computer systems and machinery updated and in good running order which includes software updates and

troubleshooting and repairing hardware problems.

Prepress - Responsible for preparing customer files for digital proofing and plate making using the Preps

Imposition program, and Agfa and Epson color proof machines. After customer approval, files are digitally

output to a large format printing plate using the Agfa Apogee imagesetter. It was also my responsibility to keep

the Apogee imagesetter maintained and in good working condition.

Prepress Technician- Assembled film in press layout position for printing on 40" printing presses.

This included the use of a large format Lithographic camera to make line shots of customer supplied artboards

and halftones from black and white and color photographs. This position also involved manually making 40”

metal plates for the printing presses.

SKILLS

Highly experienced in the use of both Macintosh and Windows based printing software, as well as a varied

assortment of computer to plate imagesetter programs and hardware. I am capable of identifying and

troubleshooting many software and hardware related problems. Used to working in a high pressure environment

with tight deadlines and keeping quality of the job for the client my highest priority.
