I would be very interested in hearing more about this opportunity as it's an ideal “fit” for both my skill set
and work experience.
For the last 8 1/2 years, I have been running my own search firm specializing in a specific niche. Due to a
combination of events, the entire sector is now in “lock-down” mode when it comes to any real growth.
From a financial standpoint, I am no longer confident that this situation will turn around anytime soon
and feel now's the time for me to search out a different environment for me to use my recruiting skills.
I worked in the insurance industry the first 4 years out of college and have many years recruiting for
financial companies. I got my start in recruiting with a search firm who at the time, was the largest in the
country in terms of the number of recruiters under one roof, 65, and it was here that I had my good
fortune to have had a mentor who gave me an incredible recruiting foundation. There are many things he
taught me that I still use today including the ALL IMPORTANT "knowing my numbers!" I do them
every day of every month of every year. When used correctly, one's metrics pretty much tell the whole
story in my opinion.
My biggest strengths are:
• Building relationships both with client management as well as with the candidate (people person).
• Am equally comfortable talking with a CEO as I am the janitor.
• I believe in quality over quantity (not one to throw it against the wall and hope it sticks) and
ethics.
• Having had my own business all these years has taught me much about organization (being
detailed oriented), self-discipline and self-motivation.
• I have worked on a team as well as by myself with equally successful results.
• Experienced working on as many as 40+ projects at the same time.
• Familiar with contact manager software and have excellent sourcing skills.
• Also have experience with ATS as some of my clients require that any submissions be done using
the Taleo. Being very computer literate, I should be able to pick up any additional software in short
order.
In closing, LET’S MEET! I’m a HUGE believer in “Nothing ventured, nothing gained.” I can start
IMMEDIATELY, I am 100% vice and drama-free, will ALWAYS be at work and am NOT a cell phone or
internet zombie. When I'm at work, I am TOTALLY focused.
