2013-2014 Clinical Internship: Health Point, Redmond and Bothell,

Working as a Behavioral Health Consultant alongside primary care providers
in a private, non-profit Community mental health center network to provide
a comprehensive array of behavioral health services.
Provide parents with advice and tools for managing their children's health
behaviors, educate on age-appropriate expectations, and techniques of
positive reinforcement (instead of punishment) to increase desired
behaviors from child.
Provide brief interventions (20-30 minutes) to individuals and families
regarding problems, such as stress, diet/heath behavior change, depression,
anxiety, sleep, and tobacco cessation.

side of Chicago. Advocate Illinois Masonic serves a population that is
comprised of a range of socio-economical levels, and a wide variety of
ethnic and cultural groups.

and group therapy.

Cognitive rehabilitation and psycho-therapy with a brain injured
population. Brain injuries range from mild to severe. Also, psycho-therapy
in a community setting with clients. Clients ages range from 17-78 with a
variety of cultural backgrounds and therapeutic focuses.

A non-profit working to end the demand for prostitution by engaging young
men in conversations about the reality of human trafficking and sex
slavery.
Developed toolkits for parents and teachers to engage young men in
conversations to help end the demand for prostitution.
2007-2008 Group Facilitator, Boulder County Department of Social

The Nurturing Program is a court ordered parenting program for parents that
are trying to get their children out of or keep their children out of
foster care.
Facilitated a highly structured playtime with children ages 4-10 focusing
on behavior management and disclosure of abuse when appropriate.
Facilitated the parent curriculum which focused on communication,
discipline, anger management and self-care.

Winter 2011 The Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation Parent
Toolkit
Designed to help parents of young men engage their sons in informed,
productive and progressive conversations about the realities of human
trafficking and forced prostitution. The goal of CAASE is to decrease the
demand for prostitution by engaging men in conversations about the truth
behind human trafficking.

a Nationally and Internationally recognized BKS Iyengar Yoga Study Center
founded in 1980. Richard Schachtel, the Center's Founder and Director,
operates one of only 39 authorized Iyengar Yoga Teacher Training Programs
in the United States and Richard is the only authorized Iyengar Yoga
Teacher Trainer in the Seattle area.
