Professional Profile
Program Manager with over 25 years of experience in Program Management and Planning in both
government and private industry, including Aerospace, Simulation, Project Recovery and Education.
Activities have included IMS development, program monitoring, specification development, MS Access
database development, and development of project recovery plans. This was accomplished using:
• •
Program Management Microsoft Office
• •
Microsoft Project Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
• •
MS Office based tools development Microsoft Access
• •
Visual Basic Programming Primavera P6 Trained
• •
Program Planning Variance Analysis
Work History
Lockheed Martin Corporation
Space Systems, Newtown PA - Staff Engineering Planner 2008 –
Present
1. Monitors program performance and status and develops recovery plans to address variances that
arose due a variety of factors including: test failure, late material delivery, personnel availability and
facility availability.
2. Working with Program Managers, Engineering personnel and Production personnel to develop
resource loaded Project Integrated Master Schedule that demonstrates that the end products can be
developed and delivered in the time allotted at an acceptable cost.
1. Track progress against Master Schedule (IMS) with all active departments, with particular attention
given to the effects of delays on subsequent project activities. Work with all parties to adjudicate
schedule conflicts and develop recovery plans and/or replan schedule activities to ensure timely delivery
of products.
2. Prepare and review monthly Earned Value Metric reports by control account and submit prepared
reports to both program management and the responsible individuals
3. Developed tool to consolidate and track engineering release information across a major program
against the program IMS to ensure that 2000+ engineering drawings would be released in a timely
fashion to support procurement, production and test activities.
4. Working with program personnel, review monthly progress and prepare reports identifying the cause
of variances, both schedule and cost, from the plan as depicted in the IMS. Develop recovery plans and
respond to late activity identification in order to ensure that all parties affected are aware of any issues.
5. Implement program processes necessary to allow for formal revision of IMS while maintaining strict
configuration management, alignment to program goals, and accurate interfaces with financial tracking
systems.
6. In response to a request from central engineering group, analyzed personnel and availability data
and the needs of various programs to develop a MS Access Database to accurately determine the
quantities and types of skills required monthly for a five year period. A process was also developed to
update input data and provide new reports on a monthly basis.
MS2, Moorestown New Jersey - Staff Engineering Planner 2001 –
2008
3. Using Six Sigma Concepts and training, consulted with programs to develop a new tool for the
management of program risks that resulted in a 100% increase in data accuracy, a 70% decrease in
need to produce reports manually and an increase in customer satisfaction due to the availability and
consistency in data recording and reporting.
1. Developed and maintained a MS Access database with full GUI frontend used in tracking the
supportability of critical electronics equipment, replacing the spreadsheet methods previously used. Over
130 individual data fields related to producers, costs, and configuration were maintained for over 20
programs. This effort resulted in an estimated annual savings of $75K per participating program and an
undetermined amount of savings from the avoidance of cost due to timely certification and replacements
for obsolete and unsupportable equipment.
7. In response to a need to more closely track department overhead expenditures, developed MS Excel
based tool to track and categorize all expenditures and track against budget.
ITT Technical Institute – Bensalem PA 2006 –
2010
Adjunct Instructor
4. Adjunct Instructor in General Education and Design & Drafting curriculum. Instructed courses in
mathematics and engineering materials and processes. Prepared lesson plans and tests. Provided
individual instruction to assist student’s success in attaining working knowledge of the curriculum.
Motorola Corp via Aerotek - Horsham PA 2000 –
2001
Engineering Program Manager
5. Participated in configuration management board reviews to newly identified and preplanned product
changes. Ensured that implementation of changes would not affect delivery schedules.
6. Developed and monitored program schedules for the development of internet protocol hardware and
software.
Innovative Solutions and Support - Malvern PA 1999 –
2000
Program Manager
7. Coordinated development and submittal of documentation to the Federal Aviation Administration
(FAA) required for the certification of newly developed instrumentation for commercial aircraft.
8. Developed detailed program schedules for the development, test and production of digital aircraft
flight instrumentation. Monitored progress against schedule to ensure delivery dates would be met.
SEOS Displays Ltd – Avondale PA 1997 –
1999
Program Manager
9. Worked with corporate management to identify and survey potential subcontract suppliers for
components and assemblies critical to program success. Once identified, held reviews on a regular basis
to ensure that equipment would be delivered on time and within the agreed budget.
10. Managed program that provided monthly deliveries of equipment to a key customer. Monitored
availability of materials required, availability of assembly areas, and coordinated shipments of oversized
loads throughout the continental United States. As part of this contract, provided personnel and
equipment necessary to support and repair equipment previously delivered.
Integrated Facilities Corp – Bethlehem PA 1995 –
1997
Project Recovery Specialist
11. Worked in program management consulting in project recovery role. Required the review of all
program specifications, identification of weaknesses and renegotiation to develop a comprehensive
system specification that could then be used to develop detailed program plans.
Naval Air Warfare Center – Warminster PA 1987 –
1995
Aerospace Engineer
2. Provided complete spectrum of program management, including specification development, testing
coordination, procurement documentation and proposal review for the selection of equipment for US
Military personnel. Coordinated all logistics activities, including all supporting documentation and
manuals for selected equipment.
