Summary
On completing my BA [Hons} Economics graduation from Christ University (2011), I successfully
managed to work in 3 different roles as an Analyst in the Merchandising Presentation Division at
Target India Corporation for close to four years now. I look forward to begin the next phase of my
professional career preferably in Retail. Skills include Optimizing Profitability, Business
development, effective communication, leadership, process improvement and Training.
Professional Experience - Target Corporation (4 Years)
Senior Business Analyst (July2014-Present)
• Identify excess clearance inventory available at the store which helped to provide
recommendations to the buyer which is then used in levelling the excess inventory in the stores
resulting in $1.3 million savings.
• Led the team in Target India that executed the 2014 Q4 season increasing temporary space by
54% resulting in a 44% comp in sales for Black Friday and 7% comp in sales for Boxing Week.
• Organized, coordinated and managed resources across a 22 member team to achieve the
required output while keeping timelines in mind.
• Led Strategic initiatives to lead the team through a series of changes to improve partner
engagement, category ownership and build new capabilities.
• Certified Train the Trainer for Target India
Business Analyst (July 2012-June 2014)
• Piloted the JDA Space Planning and Floor Planning from Minneapolis Headquarters to Target
India and successfully rolled it out to 70 Team members in Merchandising Presentation Division.
• Led Strategic initiatives to lead the team through a series of changes to improve partner
engagement, category ownership and build new capabilities.
• Created analytical recaps of key retail seasons like Christmas, Back to School/College and
Halloween which enabled the teams in Target Headquarters to better plan their strategies for the
coming year.
• Led special project for the Co-Space and Apparels & Accessories division where I reconfigured
merchandise in Planograms to best optimize sales for which I received recognition from partners
across India and Minneapolis Headquarters for the same. .
• Successfully Piloted the Visual Adjacency for all the A&A Divisions from Target
Headquarters(Minneapolis) to Target India
Assoc. Business Analyst (May 2011-June 2012)
• Providing presentation direction to Target’s 1728 stores, essentially determining the layout of
the floor pad and creating POGs based on analysis & Presentation Best Methods.
• Piloted the Planogram & Adjacency process in Target India, and creating a framework for the
roll out of the process across the organization.
• Received the Six Sigma Yellow Belt project for Streamlining and Automating a Workload
planner for Merchandising Presentation Division which saves a total of 600 Hours Annually
